StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection have been added to Xbox Game Pass as of November 5th, 2024. Since the multiplayer for both games has already been free-to-play for several years, this probably isn't that meaningful for the competitive scenes in either game.
Still, even some small percent of campaign players discovering multi-player is something to be welcomed, so this is at least a mildly positive development.

Cool stuff. Though I don't see console player being competitive at all. But honestly, like you were perhaps alluding to, the fanbase is the bedrock of a strong competitive scene.

This is entirely about PC Gaming. There is no port for Xbox (or any other console). You can use the Xbox Game Pass on PC aswell, since you can by now really play any Xbox Game on PC.

I think we need an N64 Starcraft tournament.

I’m excited since this makes it way easier to jump back in, especially for friends who never tried these games before. I’m curious if the matchmaking population gets a nice bump now.
