Its like Natal, cept not spell't the same.
Looking forward to this league, as if its run by Geoff and crew, it will certainly top anything in quality. No doubt in my mind about that. (sorry mlg, but with every appearance of sundance, my expectations get lower and lower)

Reading the thread it seems this is pretty much confirmed.
This opens the door for so many questions. For example, who is going to sponsor it? Is it going to get anywhere near the prize pools of GSL? Will it create huge schedule problems with the GSL/MLG (this is the most important question for me)?
This is going to be sweet. Also, if it is really on the west coast (cali), then being in Arizona I may actually be able to go watch live!!!

no. its because SC has more fans, and by fans i mean people actually going to see the games. It's still more popula rin korea, they earn more money, and it's a better game.

Doubt it but best of luck From what I've heard on the State of the Game, Incontrol was talking to Machine about something dealing with offices and a studio, which is a vague sign that the production values of this league must be quite high for a Western tournament considering they are messing with occupying studios.
Also, tournaments like MLG have had significant problems getting a large enough space to seat the large audiences that they have been getting, so it is likely that a hugely publicized tournament can draw a huge crowd with the proper accommodations.

This night is pretty damn crazy for the SC2 e-sports scene, I got to say. WOW! I am loving it, if it's true.

Esports at decent hours possibly?!? If there's a free stream then GG GSL, this could be the most amazing announcement in my life since May 2007
So pumped for Saturday!!

I know, I'm really jumping the gun by thinking about this, but if this gets to be as big as people are hyping it up to be, I wonder if we can eventually drag Tastosis to the states for this tournament.
|
Wow, this is fuckin' huge. Bigger than i could have imagined! + Show Spoiler +
EDIT: Wait a minute, if you don't capitalize the L then you get NASl.. Incontrol obviously is gonna take over the world in 5 days.

North American Starcraft Association
Wouldn't that be great?

So this is how Skynet and Terminators started.. Always knew that somehow, battlenet and Incontrol was involved.
Touche Geoff.. Touche.

The name is great too, since that abbreviation is only used by some minor dated, forgotten and useless organizations.

These seems legit. So Stoked!!

thats great news and all...
but NOSEY NOSE NASAL LEAGUE.
sounds like a bunch of snobs.
...okay i guess its kindof appropriate.

The question my friends, is where is the studio office/HQ that this will be held at?? California? Arizona.
I saw in one of the replys somebody was talking about machine being at the office/studio. Machine lives in Arizona so that could be a possible hint!. Thatd be random if it was here but I think Id explode in my pants if the live studio was happening here in AZ o god epic splooge indeed.

My prediction for NASL:
- Monthly League tournaments involving 64 of the top NA SC2 Pro-gamers - US$100,000 prize pool per tournament + 1000 free Big Macs (sponsored by GosuCoaching, McDonalds & Nike) - Grand Finals in December with a winner's check of US$200,000 - All matches Broadcasted LIVE on ESPN2 replacing the National Spelling Bee - VODS provided 24 hours after matches in 1080p for free! - Full event coverage by Day9
WOOOOOOO!!! See this is what happens when people dont announce stuff right away, the hype just builds and builds up to the point where once the actual announcement happens, its a major disappointment
Anyway hopefully the tourney will be close to what ive envisioned above
