Bitters is right though, it is more of a fun LAN to show the center how big the interest in PCs is as well as to get people acquainted with the center. If you want to set up a small tournament while we are there, you can. though unless more people bring their comps to share, you may be slightly hardpressed. I am also trying to get the NESC2League website up and going before then so that we can really make it official. I am scheduled to chat with the webhost today about it all.

As far as the website goes, we have the domain and webhosting all set, now it's a matter of doing all the fun building stuff. I may need help from a forum guru if we have any? I'm trying to pull a string from my guild, but no promise there.

That's a silly question Absofreaking-lutely. The more people we get involved in this local community league, the better. I don't care if your in paper airplane league fro placement. It is all good for everyone!

FAQ For Dec 4th LAN Is there a prize pool? Ther eis no prize pool as this is a "fun LAN". "Fun LAN"? That sounds lame. I wanted to be able to get everyone from every rank involved in this get together, not just diamonds or people that want to see how they do in the competitive scene. Plus, a larger showing of numbers gives our friends at Boomkin a reason to expand up for lots of computers. What does BYOC mean? Bring Your Own Computer. As of right now, the LAN center is console centric. There are plenty online hookups to connect to and we have full use of the facility. But in order to play SC2, we will have to connect ourselves. I will personally be bringing my PC for other people to use. What is the NESC2League? The New England Starcraft 2 League is our community. Right now a website is being put together as a central location for all of us to go to and find out about happenings in the area. It will also be the heart of a mini circuit that is being setup across New England to end in a big championship of sorts. What do you mean by a mini circuit? Well, there are currently 3 LAN centers in MA, NH, and ME that want to participate in a larger tournament structure. There will be a tournament held at each location. The top 3 players of each tournament will not be able to play in the other 2, but will have no restrictions form any other activity we do. These 9 players will be seeded for a final tournament. A final fourth tournament will be held in one of the previous locations on a Saturday to find the last 7 of players. The next day will be 16 man tournament to determine a champion with a larger prize pool to be awarded. As of right now, this could be done twice a year. Why should I do the ladder matches? Does it cost anything? It costs nothing to join the ladder, however the ladder system is not up and working yet. Once it is up, there will be a weekly Bo3 match setup against another member. The top 2 players on the ladder(that have not placed in a tournament) will be automatically added to the player list and the Saturday tournament will only result in 5 players moving on. So how much does the Dec 4th LAN cost? The LAN costs $5 and you have full use of the facilities. Doors will open at 1:30p. Where is Boomkin? Boomkin Gaming Center is at 371 River St. in Haverhill, MA. Getting there is very easy from most directions. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=371 river st. haverhill, ma&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=371 River St, Haverhill, MA 01832&gl=us&ei=aO7qTJzXIMP58AbnttihCQ&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBoQ8gEwAA If you take the train from Boston it is the last stop. Go down the stairs/hill and take a right. Boomkin will be about 1 mile on your right. Can I ask you another question? Yes
