1. You would have to get an adapter but that's pretty much it. We have no PST here in Calgary so you'd only pay 5% tax! The benefit of living in Calgary ... lol 2. Memory Express, Future Shop, Best Buy, the usuals.

Other than that, yeah you'll need a transformer(I.E. adapter) for your charger. AC wall plugs here are 120V, most places in Europe are 220/240V I believe.

But lol, usually Fridays & Calgarians isn't something the locals like too much. Bars get overcrowded as fuck and there's a 25% increase in douchebags. Usually they all stick to Auroras though so it's alright haha.

I'll stay on Calgary and Edmonton for about a month and I have no clue about what places could be interesting or amazing to visit. I might aswell go to West Edmonton Mall since I've been told that that place is huge and pretty much great. Man, there is almost nothing interesting to do in Edmonton or Calgary, especially if you're coming in from a place that actually has such novel things as 'culture', 'personality', and 'architecture'. All we have to offer in this part of the world is natural beauty - and since this country is hopelessly large, endless driving in order to go and see it. Plus it's the middle of winter, making exploration a touch less enjoyable. I guess you could check out a hockey game but both the Flames and the Oilers are terrible teams that play in sold-out buildings. Yippee. Edmonton is a particularly gross city. Dirty, slummy, boasting only the promise of franchises which haven't experienced success in decades and a goddamn mall. Calgary is gridlock traffic and white people. The road in between them is 3 hours of intense boredom that I find myself experiencing more weekends than not. If you don't ski or snowboard, you're screwed. 1) If I buy any laptop over there will I be able to use it in Europe by buying an adapter for the charger? I really don't want to get any bad surprises like having my laptop blow up once I plug it in when I come back lol Laptop chargers will specific a voltage and current range (like 120-240V, etc.) and your local power should fall somewhere in there. You'll be fine besides requiring the adapter plug. 2) What are good stores to buy said laptop and wich one would you recommend me? I'm looking for a good gaming laptop that isn't 800+$. The usual big-box stores sell things on the cheap. You can browse the websites to see if something suits your fancy: http://www.futureshop.ca http://www.bestbuy.ca So yeah that's pretty much it, I really hope that i'll enjoy my stay over there... + Show Spoiler + fighting bears and drinking maple syrup...lol j/k cheers! I honestly hope you enjoy it too. I love this country and I love this part of the world but I've had limited success imposing that love upon other people. I guess there's always the pub.
