I'm not sure he could've won by using his hydras to defend against the corsairs sniping the overlords but the failed all-in pretty much sealed it. It's just funny watching Stork win using a SC2 strat in BW even with no warpgates and stronger zerglings in BW. The positioning of the gateways made this pretty much impossible, he would've been able to attack that pylon with 2 drones max

Now he's probably thinking "wow, BW is eaz, I shouldn't train for this. I better watch some porn before playing some Tetris" :D You're funny

the most memorable game (for me) last season.

2base protoss with better saturation than zerg > 2base zerg with mining and tech time lost early game the attack was the only legitimate move against a player of stork's caliber anyhow.
going for the pylon would be a bad idea because a zealot would be about fairly soon to defend it not to mention the amount of space for the drones to stand and attack on were heavily limited and the travel time to get to a place where they could attack the pylon could make the difference as to whether a zealot came out or not.
not to mention the probe was still alive... lol if JD went for the pylon, stork would immediately put another down and lul as JD would eventually have to commit a couple of drones to the other pylon as well
the other zealot was more of a good mindgame on stork's part than a mistake on JD's the mining time lost was insignificant compared to that which was lost earlier
stork had an advantage, played brilliantly with it JD defended excellently but couldn't overcome the advantage gg

12 hatch is such a bad build vs P... T_T
overpool is terrible against a protoss who goes forge Fe on a large map like this seriously, if the first lings do no damage then they have an overwhelming advantage and can dictate the matchup
the timing @ which the overlord scouts the opponent should be after the zerglings are hatched anyhow, so i think it is fairly unapplicable on this map in most situations

I had a feeling Dong would lose if it went to ace; Stork seems to have his number when it comes to single games. Honestly, I wouldn't have even liked his chances against Turn if he did end up getting called out.
Edit: nm...answered.

Stork went 10 GATE and scouted correctly to find that Jaedong 12 HATCHed. How the shit do you want Stork to react!
that was the most effective strategy, cheese is also ok, to make it clear - my point is if you want to win a strong player u must be unpredicltible, "How the shit do you want Stork to react!" - well 3 proxy gates was the least expected, don't u think)???

I personally would have sent out Turn for Ace, but I guess this game shows why I'm not cut out to be a manager. Turn has been doing well in terms of the numbers, but I don't think he's faced an opponent quite as formidable as Jaedong yet. On the other hand, Stork has gone neck to neck with Jaedong many times in the past, so I imagine that experience (plus one serious pair that clank) helped him take this.
MY GOD that game was EPIC. I can't wait to see it in the interviews & proleague news writeups.

All he has to do is split the map and he wins because 5 base Protoss > 5 base Zerg. It was a race against time for Jaedong to A. beat him before the map split or B. JD had to get 6 bases vs 4 (highly unlikely). You'll notice Stork doesn't do to much offense late because he doesn't have to and he shouldn't. Just has to ride out the storm and that's what he did.

In the last OSL Jaedong Vs Stork in the semi's went to a 5th set and the two games that Stork won were just straight up dominating as opposed to Jaedong's two ling runbys and a failed goon reaver all in.
Point is todays games are somewhat indicative of Stork's "meta". Lose to Bacho Beat Jaedong

We can argue all day long about what is cheese and what isn't, but what makes the difference for me is whether or not said play was predetermined (double proxy gates at 9/9 in the middle of the map) or a reaction to opposing players greedy build (bunker rush).
Nobody called Jaedong cheesy when he took advantage of Stork skimping on cannons.

I cant remember, that was so awesome, this what makes a great player, flexibility to counter with any possible bo, this what Stork did, still sad for JD
