and lo and behold the opponent terran is going 14cc
i wouldn't consider building a bunker and an extra barracks "cheese" so much as a "good response" to the situation

if stork didn't do that play and instead went 2gate inbase or something of the stork, JD would have as much as an advantage as stork did end up having in this game
and you don't want to be at a disadvantage against JD (or stork!)

Speaking in general, I'd say there is such a thing as cheese, but that refers to an all-in opening, not an all-in counter. All-in counters are perfectly acceptable against greedy play. And don't give me that "don't get me wrong, that was the right strategy, but it's still cheese, I mean nothing by it," etc. etc. "Cheese" is a pejorative label. Aggressive counters to greedy play should be lauded, not disparaged. Greedy play should be disparaged.
That being said, for this game specifically... I didn't watch the game, but from reading the LR... three proxy gate in the nat to counter 12-hatch sounds pretty iffy, lol. I wouldn't call 12-hatch all that greedy, personally (three hatch before pool is another story), it's pretty much a necessity as a zerg unless you're committing to doing damage with lings. I'd say it's pretty cheesy... but I'll have to watch the game first. And I'll definitely watch this one.
Stork maybe won a bit of the mindgame with this one? Given how their last series went, he anticipated that JD wouldn't get early lings this time. Someone needed to give JD a copy of that Kwanro "Strategy! Mindgames!" flowchart, haha.

I assume Stork was prepared vs whatever Jaedong did, and found that by going 10-gate (I missed this part) and scouting the triple proxy gate would make him ahead because there's a safe backyard expo.

....You do realize that 1gate expand is standard pvz on that map right.
9pool/overpool vs that is bad and puts you behind.
Plus, since his ovie went to right direction, he would have drone scouted to other direction and found nothing (it's a 3p map) Also, even if his drone did get there on first try, he wouldn't have assumed anything out of the ordinary as stork made his first pylon and gateway in his base.
