He was the aggressor in that final set and Bisu was just playing too reactionary. I agree that he blundered by not playing with HTs - those storms in the last three battles really made the difference. Bisu had no other choice but to be passive - map positions allowed Kal to drop and harass Bisu's main, while KTY hasnt got such an option because if he was to harass Kal in some way he had to go all the way around the map - stuff like that happened a lot on maps like Tau Cross in the past or Medusa lately. Thats why I would assume both players choose their scouting paths in the beginning, on 3 players maps is almost always like A>B>C>A positional wise for PvP yep, yep - you would expect the map makers to learn... 3players maps are the best concept imo. just look at the stats on Tau Cross - the only real problem is the PvP Or they could just put all the main mineral lines sticking to the map border like on Longinus. Leaving a huge space in a base and not in the others doesn't make sense. I can't blame Kal for abusing it, but that's definitely what threw Bisu off this game. Its not the placement of the mineral lines that is the problems, its the shorter fly distance from your natural to their main and hence quicker way back to defend that is the problem. While your opponent has to fly all around the map to harass your main, with no quick way back to defend if needed. Like you can drop their main as you see their force move out, and still be in time back at your natural with your reavers to defend.

This is why I dislike Kal. He beats other people to get a good spot in tournaments, but you know he's never gonna do anything with it. Bisu actually has a chance to go far if he could get his mojo back. Whereas Kal never had any mojo.

I totally agree about that, it's even the major issue, but mapmakers can't do anything about it, it's inherent to any 3 players map. But if there had been a very small space between the cliff and the mineral lines this space could have been filled with some buildings + goons by the defender and it would not be as easy to abuse it. Poor Bisu looked totally helpless there.
But Kal played great, especially the second set, so ggs !

But, but you have to be good to go into a slump in the first place

There's a first time for everything, and beating effort might have been just what was needed for him to actually win something.

Like Bisu is actually going to go anywhere. Out of this group Kal is the only one capable of getting to the semifinals, and Kal on his A game is not lacking in mojo.

Jesus christ. no, T1 fans aren't here to fuel the tide of bisu fanboyism. and a large ratio of non-t1 fans are bisu anti-fans.
I WILL FEED ON BISU ANTI-FAN TEARS AT THE END OF THIS OSL./MSL >:D

alright kal, I knew you had it in you!
It's sad, when there's no pressure kal is probably the strongest protoss player right now, but pressure gets to him so bad :\
|
Bisu is fine as long as he keeps playing the way he plays he can go all the way to finals.
