EDIT: Thanks Roffles. You da man
I don't think solid is the word I'd use to describe most of these guys. But it should be fun, anyway.
Stats Kal and Bisu are all in good form, while there are other players who have been good but haven't been putting up lately. Maybe I just mean big names...
Hopefully Bisu can continue his good early season form, though he's likely to have to win a couple of PvP's if he's going to go all the way. Added to that I think Kal has had his number recently.

Zerglings and lurkers murder cannons pretty damn quickly. With Stat's low dragoon count and choice of build order, he was pretty much screwed anyway.

You know Flash has lost several games to lings in absolutely silly ways, such as Game 3 vs JD in WCG Korea. He's pretty bad, isn't he?

He was making scvs in that cc. What bugs me is why Midas didn't pull more scvs to defend when he moved his marines in... He could've defended.

maybe because he didn't scout the lurkers, maybe he suspected a lurker drop not a lurker bust. In which case he needed to get his robo out asap. He scouted the 4 lurks, and only then did he throw down 3-4 cannons on top of the 2 that he had.
honestly i think if he pulled his zealots back faster, instead of all of them getting railed by lurkers for 2 shots. he could have delayed the attack for the next few cannons to warp in.

All I want is a decent game that aren't just all ins or BO wins to be honest.

core still spinning - range I guess mutas picking off some zealots - the archons/zealots head home while lings dying to another 4 zealots elsewhere on the map
2nd evo up for hyuk solid defense so far
drone sent to 2 - there's a zealot waiting to give it a present
2 templar sniped by mutas after throwing 3 desperate storm, one remains
bunch o lings run past goon/sairs as they kill an OL why not attack? now the lings attack when archon/zealots join the goons but they have crack now - killing a surprising amount of stuff but all dead now
Hyuk played quite well until that Muta suicide. Then he mentally collapsed once again and stopped doing anything that resembles the play of a progamer.

indeed.
that point really gave kal the initiative - and then came the ling suicides/lack of appropriate defense against an opponent who suddenly had air dominance
kal sending his goons across one of bisu's bridge, but bisu's forces are there and he wisely backs off
bisu taking his 2nd gas
shuttle/obs for kal moving around north of bisu's nat - but bisu's obs is there too and bisu's goons respond kal takes this opportunity to moves his own goons across the bridge - unwise - he loses two of them before backing off
bisu with observatory coming - bisu's shuttle flies into kal's main - kal's response very slow - kal instead using 2 reavers to break bisu's nat - bisu losing tons of goons
edit: i was cheering for the wrong guy throughout the game. i just realized that bisu lost when noone leaves the booth after the game. now, bisu is green not purple.
bisu's observer sees kal take his nat kal's shuttle moving out bisu leaving 4 goons in his main kal drops the reaver in bisu's main but picks it up as his shuttle takes shots
kal attacking bisu's nat but bisu has a reaver there kal loses 2 goons before backing off lots of his stuff is red too

That was a great game. Very long, with both players pulling ahead at different times. Super clutch defense by Kal at a couple of occasions. High level PvP.
didnt watch whole game but bisu's army composition was kinda strange, was he low on gas or what? that many zeals vs even 1 reaver, hts and like 2 archons in opponent's army was suicide
He was the aggressor in that final set and Bisu was just playing too reactionary. I agree that he blundered by not playing with HTs - those storms in the last three battles really made the difference.
Bisu was trying to overwhelm Kal with a bigger army because Kal was so set on getting a third expansion, but Kal was ahead in the later battles because of better army composition (reavers + HTs) and Bisu couldn't beat Kal with his reavers + low-tech army.

Bisu had no other choice but to be passive - map positions allowed Kal to drop and harass Bisu's main, while KTY hasnt got such an option because if he was to harass Kal in some way he had to go all the way around the map - stuff like that happened a lot on maps like Tau Cross in the past or Medusa lately. Thats why I would assume both players choose their scouting paths in the beginning, on 3 players maps is almost always like A>B>C>A positional wise for PvP
Kal played well and deserved that. Bisu seemed sloppy.
To bad because I think Bisu could do much more with that seed then Kal will. On the other hand Bisu is more likelly to pull off from a unseeded position then Kal is so maybe this is a good thing for the protoss :-)
On a side note. Lol at being warned for typing GG in this topic when the game was not over. There are so many things people are typing that can indicate that the game is over when its not, just like GG.

Or they could just put all the main mineral lines sticking to the map border like on Longinus. Leaving a huge space in a base and not in the others doesn't make sense. I can't blame Kal for abusing it, but that's definitely what threw Bisu off this game.

Its not the placement of the mineral lines that is the problems, its the shorter fly distance from your natural to their main and hence quicker way back to defend that is the problem. While your opponent has to fly all around the map to harass your main, with no quick way back to defend if needed. Like you can drop their main as you see their force move out, and still be in time back at your natural with your reavers to defend.
This is why I dislike Kal. He beats other people to get a good spot in tournaments, but you know he's never gonna do anything with it. Bisu actually has a chance to go far if he could get his mojo back. Whereas Kal never had any mojo.

I totally agree about that, it's even the major issue, but mapmakers can't do anything about it, it's inherent to any 3 players map. But if there had been a very small space between the cliff and the mineral lines this space could have been filled with some buildings + goons by the defender and it would not be as easy to abuse it. Poor Bisu looked totally helpless there.
But Kal played great, especially the second set, so ggs !

Ouch. Seems a bit unfair. As for the Kal Mojo, he might well place high in the tournament. There's a first time for everything, and beating effort might have been just what was needed for him to actually win something.

no, T1 fans aren't here to fuel the tide of bisu fanboyism. and a large ratio of non-t1 fans are bisu anti-fans.
I WILL FEED ON BISU ANTI-FAN TEARS AT THE END OF THIS OSL./MSL >:D
We can only hope and dream mate. Time will tell. Though I've seen some positive signs from Bisu so far this season he's still got a ways to go with his PvP, and ofc work to do with his PvT.
I think Bisu's an easy target for haters given that he has a lot of fans, is a bit of a pretty boy, and has been as close to a Toss bonjwa as anybody (tall poppy syndrome).
Kal deserved his win, and a number of strong Toss players can only be a good thing for BW.
If LOTF doesn't boost Kal to S-Class, I don't know what will. I want him to become S-Class though, starting (ideally) by beating down Jaedong.
At any rate, it's somewhat relieving and yet unsettling to see Bisu being handed his first loss(es). Hopefully it won't affect him too much in the long run since T1 needs him now more than ever, especially with FanTaSy in a slump. T1 relies hardcore on an ace player.

Bisu's fine guys he went 1-2 against Kal of all people, maybe the top toss around these days. He's not going to be able to win every game and this wasn't that important of a tournament. 9-2 since the new season started is a ridiculous record.

Definitely this, Bisu is coming back on top, but let's not forget that Kal is A++ class too. It was a good series.
Bisu fans so hard on Kal. Yeah, Kal always loses to the Dong and Flash, but everyone does right now. If Bisu were so good he wouldn't be 2-5 vs Kal in 2010. Bisu is decent I'll give him that but people hating on Kal for him beating Bisu seriously need to get their heads checked, Kal is one of the top 3 toss if not top toss right now.
