Just find and buy the largest one you can get for under 8 bucks No, a generic mouse pad does not suit my needs. I tend to get wrist pains on any mousepad that is not as thin as possible. Since I also dislike the feeling of a wrist rest, it's either plain table or a thin gamer mousepad for me. Plain table does not make the mouse glide as easily though, and will wear down mouse feet faster. I did not vote in the poll though, because while I *do* use a gamer mousepad, it is just a 14 bucks Razer Sphex (thinnest I could find) and not one of their horribly expensive high-end ones.

Now playing with steelseries kinzu + steelseries 4hd ( hard mat). It's really, really good. I prefer hard mat and "small" mouses : )

I've had this pad for about two years now and I love it. No issues at all with the durability or build quality. Very soft; the thickness helps especially if your desk has some nicks or warping from older wood or anything like that. Also it's biiiig; like bigger than 1 foot by 1 foot big >:O

I used the wooden surface, piece of paper, cheap small mousepads and a homemade one (wrapping fabric over a piece of plastic), but the 'high end gaming mousepad' is much better. I am primarily an FPS player, which may matter.
