do these gaming mousepads make a noticeable difference?

I use a 1$ mousepad myself and it's really smooth with my death adder

not really, i'f your comfortable with the speed / traction of your mouse / mouspad combination then it really doesn't matter.
However if your not quite sure yet, or are still experimenting searching which pad (glas, cloth, plastic) suit's you best, these gaming mousepads are quite a nice option.
They also generally last a bit longer

Using the Razer Mantis Control mousepad and I love it.
I'm using it for more than 2 years now and it's still in perfect conditioning.

The Razer Destructor is wonderful!!
Paired with my DeathAdder's Teflon feet, it's a smooth as silk ride all night long, baby!

I just bought the Razor Goliathus Control oversized mouse pad. And now my wireless logitech mouse seems to work worse
It skips on the screen and I have problems clicking on stuff, especially if I hold the mouse lightly. If I push it down a bit I can get more control.
For a mouse pad called Control it is pretty disappointing.

Just a little warning to all. I just found out cloth mouse pads like the above Razer Goliathus have problems with lasers mice. Also the higher the DPI of those mice more problems.

They say these pads have no problems with optical mice.

QcK+ for me - Although it doesn't fit on my desk 100% it is just SO comfortable to not have to worry where you put your mousepad in relation to your hand. You just put it there and place your mouse at any location you feel comfortable.
Also I don't like the feeling of a "transition" from mousead to table on my forearm. I hate mousepads that don't reach to the edge of my table, so that one part of my arm rests on the mousepad and the other one rests on the table.

Previously had a hard plastic one and I definitely prefer the cloth, much more comfortable for longer sessions.

Which mouse do you use with your cloth pad?

Alright guys i settled on a "Steelseries 4hd" plastic mouse pad i found in gamestop, pretty reasonable price around 20 dollars. My previous mousepad was a glass mousepad so no wonder it was attracting dust en masse, it also liked scratching up my mouse, so i will definitely not buy a glass mousepad in the nearby future the(may just be that it started getting old I don't really know if they attract more dust as they get older)

enough about that, the steelseries 4hd is a good priced mousepad and I recommend it. (currently using it with a razer abyssus)

Using a SteelSeries QcK. It's softer than my generic mousepad, and the rubber at the bottom actually prevents it from sliding. Ten dollars well spent.

I play with the standard-nerd-equipment, mx518

In my defense, I bought this mouse immediately after release (still the original 1600 DPI), has been working flawlessly and I don't feel the need to change.
