I use paper. Stack 5 of them toghter tape it to my desk and bam cheap easy to replace mouse pad.

I have a $5 mousepad from Walmart. My only grief with it is that it is SMALL. Like 6x8". Not nearly big enough. I previously had an Allsop mousepad which was a fair bit larger and it worked great until I lost it during a move.

I'll probaby be buying a bigger/nicer pad as soon as I can afford it.

Steelseries QCK Mass and QCK Heavy are the two most common mousepads among gamers worldwide. (Heavy is just gigantic though, only meant if you have a ton of desk space, Mass is more reasonably sized)

I want a Puretrak Talent but I can't find anywhere that sells them in the UK. It's the only mouse pad that hasn't had any bad reviews that I've seen. I'd get a QcK but I've heard they start wearing out pretty fast. Can anyone confirm that?

Hey guys, I'm interested in getting a new mousepad for my "Razer Abyssus" I currently have a steelseries hard pad(no idea what the product name is i got it from someone)
I really enjoy the feeling of a hard pad, but I don't like how particles gather up on the pad and it seems to get "dirty" (edit: By taht i mean full of dust and i have to brush it off constantly) fast making me have to wash it or brush off constantly(don't know if this is a problem with hard pads or not).
Plus it's getting kinda old so i would be interested in a new one, If it's hard or soft doesn't matter. I read through this thread and am thinking about possibly buying the "Razer Sphex" mouse pad or the "Razer Goliathus" But before just simply buying a mousepad and possibly being unhappy with it. I thought I'd ask TL first Basically what mousepad do you recommend for someone who will mainly play sc2 and use a razer mouse?

Define 'dirty', I have a hard pad and it doesn't get dirty, aside from the usual dust. (and that stuff is on every surface, even if you can't see it..only way to get rid of it is cleaning. xD)

I'd recommend a func f-series (10.s or 30.r), they are insanely thin (1.5mm) and that makes them very comfortable to play. However the rubber base is rather aggressive and has darkened the wood of the table over the years. Not that it matters..it actually helps, because if I accidentally move my pad around it's easy to put it back on the sweet spot.

But you don't have to get a special pad for your mouse, any pad should do these days. You don't need special pads for a game either. It just depends on your personal preference. If you like a thick/thin, slow/fast, big/small pad more.

There are just to many pads on the market, I guess you won't get a final answer any time soon.

Go to newegg.com and see what people like. I've got a $5 Xtrac Pro and I like it a lot (big improvement over no pad, that's for sure). It tracks well, I like the level of friction, and the softness is also nice and comfy for my wrist to rest on. It's not large but you don't need a big pad for RTS.

I have a cloth pad, whihc can attract "dirt" a lot easier, but i just rub it all off regularly so that it stays clean, i love the higher friction and feel of the surface but if you're that ocd about the dirt then i guess i won't suggest it (QCK Mass)

Razer goliathus FTW ! thats best and the only one mouse pad i ever had ! before it i was playing on my math book :D 10eurs arent so much for any Razer product, but i tried few days ago that mouse pad similar to goliathus i think it was great too, i dont think that 10 eurs will kill you for such an amazing smooth moves of your mouse : P

Using Razer Sphex mousepad.
Its only like 1mm thick, sticks to your desktop, provides awesome tracking and my mouse glides on it like on ice.
Its also pretty cheap - about $15.
The greatest mousepad I have used so far.

I have a Razer Destructor, it doesn't move whatsoever during play, it's got high glide, but it feels very controlled as well. It also has a case for transport. Great stuff.

I have the Steelseries Kerrigan v Zeratul mousepad as well as the Razer Goliathus. Only 15 dollars, amazing pads.

use ALLSOP - its cheap, and its reeeally really good, I use one for 5 years now, and it still feels good even though I'd like to buy a new one

Agreed. I just bought one of these since my desk space is fairly limited (I'm in college and everything is in my room in my apartment, so I have my TV on my long desk, too, so my computer stuff only gets half) and I'm a pretty big fan of it so far. I mean, for $7 you can get such a high quality product that this should be considered the generic standard.

Im using the wemadefox mouse pad back from when TL had the wemadefox shirt sale. Its wonderful and I absolutely have no clue what I will do when it finally deteriorates beyond usability.
