Just got confirmed on working Blizzcon this year, again! I'll be running the graphics for the live broadcast of the WoW, WC3 and SC2 stages. I'm pretty fucking stoked since I didn't get to work it last year, but I was still able to attend. This year, I get to go AND get paid to do it.
Not trying to brag or anything, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and have worked hard to get here. I've been involved with eSports & broadcasting for most of my professional career. I started out from the very bottom as a Production Intern, to Graphic Designer, to Video Editor, to AssistantProducer, on various projects (mostly gaming related). Sometimes, I even did it without pay just because I love competitive gaming that much. What can I say? I've been infected and know how to give back.
Anyway. Just wanted to share the good news. I'm in China right now for the World Expo (second time around) and the weather is quite nice! If anyone is going to the Expo, hit me up, I'm working in the Swedish Pavilion running the H.O.N tournament!

Thanks! It sure is! Not to sound all preach-y but it took a lot of hard work. There wasn't any second where I wasn't finding an extra job, working freelance, and even ignoring what other people said about "gaming" not being a proper profession. So, I'm so glad to be here. Haha.

See you backstage Even though the extent of my "working" is making sure the lights don't fall apart :O

@GHOSTCLAW for sure! i'm lurking the TL meetup thread as we speak ;]
@jaw I wouldn't say it's free. I'll be working the live graphics for the webcast for the esport stages. I'd like to think that I was earning the pay, hence getting the opportunity to do so.
@chongu haha I know, it was such a relief when I got the news. I was already going to go, a friend of mine put me and my boyfriend down on the list. But getting to work it is much more enjoyable. I feel like I'm actually doing something.
@letheargica Thanks! I know I will! I did the same gig in '08, and this time it'll be way more fun since I've actually gotten to sink some time into sc2!
@Xxio Aww, thanks I really appreciate that <3
@madnessman Haha, if I could I would, man. But I'm already hooking up my little brother with my pass. Sorry!!! They should just bring Blizzcon to you!
@Peanutsc Glad to know that others can relate. I've never really had the chance to share the excitement I had the first time around when I first worked the event, because I was really fresh and nervous half the time. Now, I know I can just really enjoy myself and knock this shit out of the park! Definitely stop me if you see me running around. I'd love to say hey!
