Didn't vote, but I had to pick I'd pick MLG though because IEM streams always happened while I was asleep.

Both tourneys were really enjoyable though and generally well-run. Good sign for future of SC2 outside of Korea!

MLG: Variety of casters, better crowd / atmosphere, socke vs drewbie, return of the toss and of course the first glimpse of the HuK pillows. all in all, both were great for SC2 and esports in general. edit: i forgot day9's troll face.

Then analyze the results deeply, theorize possibilities, make polls for the expectations etc etc. The hype grows and grows and grows. The semi-finals and finals of such events were way more exciting and memorable. IEM and MLG may have had better rosters, better prize pool, better stream quality, live audience, better commentary, even better games - but they are mass events, done very fast, as part of a bigger event machine, and it's not the same.King of the Beta? Between IEM and MLG, I vote IEM>MLG, because the upper/lower bracket system, used in MLG, is a bit annoying, and reduces the clarity of value throughout the event. However, I suspect MLG has been the most fun for the participants / visitors, who were there. If I was one of the players I would have enjoyed this kind of event probably more.

The day BiggestT comes around, shit will get real indeed. Still awaiting a Chill+Day9 casting combo (like TSL2).
