Two great tournaments. Would have to say MLG though. Mostly due to the amount of coverage and how smoothly everything was run.

IEM looked professional, MLG looked ghetto with no chairs for spectators and no babes to escort the top finishers for the award ceremony.

IEM

IEM has better games and casting imo things seemed smoother etc.

MLG just had better quality streams which really helps i mean the stuttering on the IEM and poor quality hurts but nothing quite breaking and at the end of the day it's about the players and the casters not how good you can view them.

IEM, because I could actually watch it live since it was in Europe. I missed most of the MLG matches because of the time difference, alas.

MLG had a far better stream quality but they had a lot of downtime between games

IEM had the better games streamed, which I suppose it was to be expected with 16 invitees only compared to MLG's 64 with open signups.

Friday's times were quite bad for EU but Saturday's midday start was fine imo.

I must say that IEM had better game. MLG had too many game we could not see. But the stream for MLG was 100 time better then the one from IEM.

This is like asking if it's better to have sex with one girl or two. Who cares, both were awesome.

I mean this isn't a negative reflection on MLG, as it was a great tournament, but IEM was amazing. More prestige, more money on the line, better format, longer tournament, no "scrubs". Both are great, but IEM was the better overall.

MLG had too many lower caliber players for my liking - I'm not saying I could have done better, I'm just saying I've come to expect better from pros. Even the winner HuK did not play his best.

I voted for IEM because when I instaled the octoshape thingy it made my videodriver crash and I had to go back 3 days in time with my pc... and ended up not watching it

Yeah like the rest said, very tough choice but I went with IEM because of the better atmosphere. (crowd, excitement, etc)

I voted for the IEM. I just feel the game is pumped up more in Europe and Korea more so that in the USA. So a tournament held in either Europe or Korea just seems, overall, better for the game and community than the MLG right now. Although, I do hope the MLG continues to keep up the SC2 tournies and that the game will grow and grow.
I play games for fun!
