I'll start with MTF, because in my mind he would be the most dangerous. If hypothetically mafia: 1) Godfather no doubt, comes out claiming 2 hits, bound to be checked 2) Hasn't called out anyone, but speaks his mind very logically pinning clues to people, and usually making his own findings. Mafia wouldn't have to much trouble with this, but neither would the most honest of townies. 3) Dont believe he has labelled onihunter or 3 lions, so this wouldn't have been planned, but he did mention Hugo who seems up in the air at the moment, so nothing deep here. 4) Likes to have opinions of people and not afraid to share. He seems satisfied with the management. But all this is fairly pointless because he doesnt have clues pointing to him yet that anyone has pointed out, and I'd say a substantial amount of clue-finding has been appearing. But there is a chance people have skipped over things, so I went back for a 2nd run-through of all the days to see what I could pick up. Remember Im only going after MTF because he would be the most dangerous mafia in my book. I will get to the other guys when I have the chance. + Show Spoiler + Basically I went on his name, the turtle, and his paragraph about people using intimidation and self-assumed power as a means of covering up how useless they are Day 1: I read it once, looked at the profile, read it again, profile, post, profile, and made one observation that I will need help on. Look at this part of the BC paragraph "Making his way down to the city center, he gazed at the buildings as he passed, the shopping mall that had just been built, the school he went to when he was a kid, just farther down the way a series of small stores and restaurants. Making his way back the way he came, he stopped by the fountain in front of the office. It was there he noticed he was being followed. Turning, he saw a figure rush forward. The following morning, the town would discover the mayor BloodyC0bbler dead and floating in the town fountain." There is alot of stuff in there. something about a town fountain outside a mall where the mayor was found floating. This was Oni's clue right? Long time to get a simple "he swam for 5 years" connected. Now this is where I perked up. MTF. MallTown fountain. Mayor floating in town fountain. Mayor turns to figure. The Following Morning. Now before you start jumping to conclusions, would flamewheel really put a clue like this? I've tried making heads or tails out of this for a good half-hour. Nothing went M____ T____ F____. Mall's town fountain is a bit of a stretch. "The following morning" is in the wrong order. Mayor T____ Floating? Does he want us to make synonyms? There is a potential puzzle in this, but this is as far as I went. It could be a gross misconception of a mere coincidence. But putting one M_ T_ F_ in order would just give it away. ^So I need help with that my mind is frazzled enough as it is. Day2: Only had to read this once to pick this up. " A masked figure followed him, and stealthily kept to the shadows, not letting ElyAs out of his sight. ElyAs moved quickly, breaking into a quick run, hoping to make it back home before he was overtaken. However, he was not to make it. As ElyAs passed by the town courthouse, he noticed that he had already been beaten--the masked figure was sitting on the steps." Tortoise and the Hare? An interesting take on it and not obvious. But it's something, I personally feel its a little stronger then a bunch of people with DTs in their profiles, but again there have been alot more then 6 people who have decent connections to clues. Its just a matter of connecting them. Day3: Stuff here about "slow" being thrown around. "However, just like the last night, a few people were too slow" "He walked slowly and deliberately" "slowly turned around" Doubt I need to explain. So with a little patience, I now have a previously clue-less person connected to all 3 days. I'd be a little less insistent, but I want to tie up those double hits on MTF to a medic, because he does have a medic. So if that medic could just somehow inform us that he did indeed protect MTF and got notified, that would really ease my conscience. Maybe if you really find you can trust someone rather then MTF himself, I'd appreciate it just to have 2 people liable to counteract these clues. I like my pudding with a side of proof I probably wont get to crate tonight, but Id suggest that you rolecheck him, even more so then MTF, because he seems less likely to be picked as a GF, but still a candidate, not running for mayor may either help or hinder his case for being a GF. Can't really tell, I don't think im good at this posting analysis thing >.< Oh and no one suggested anyone for this insurance list of darth/MTF/crate/yellow, cmon guys, we mostly seem to be focusing on the lower tier posters, I'm look forward to yellows posting opinions on individuals because I still personally feel hes not a mafia, and he seems very precise on these, which is helpful for my lackluster performance in this department.

But honestly, does anyone else really suspect MTF? If not, I'd rather focus on the five candidates that I posted because I havn't been hearing too much of people's opinions about them lately. This is excepting TheGilaboy - which I am curious what people think of him in light of recent events.

But it is safe to assume that darth's lead is positive and people's reactions to it should be interesting. There is a small chance that the mafia gave up on onihunter very soon after darth announce Onihunter is mafia. Darth's announce time:18:20 On June 09 2010 18:37 Zyrre wrote: Considering DTA's announcement and my previous analysis of onihunter, I'll go with him on the oni lynch + double lynch. + Show Spoiler + On June 09 2010 07:02 Zyrre wrote: Analysis of onihuter. At the start it seemed like he tried to even out the votes on all the candidates, including bear and zeks, by being overly suspicious of everybody. This would be great for mafia since their organized voting would then sway it in favour of whoever they wanted picked. He then proceeded to talk about medics and who they should protect. Also asks the question to the town who they think medics should protect and so on, would obviously be great information for mafia. He posted some player analysis, but all of them ended with "seems pretty neutral, could be either" or something similar. Most outstanding was DCLXVI which he thought to be mafia. He bandwagoned early with deuce as lynching target, but switched late to MooCow. Also his response to the vigi modkill seems a bit over the top. This is the most suspicious posting I've looked at yet, high chance of being mafia in my eyes. First person to support Darth and also did analysis on Onihunter which makes me believe he is innocent. On June 09 2010 19:01 deconduo wrote: Wow, some more interesting revelations from the night, but a few things we need to be really careful of. First of all, its really close to a mafia win right now. If we lynch wrong today, its almost certainly a lost cause for town. Its 16-6 maf/town right now. 1 bodyguard and both our vigilantes are down. Town kill power is just our double lynches right now. Oni could be a miller. The DT claim could be a fake. How can we trust Darth's source? How can we trust Darth even? Why would the DT claim to Darth? Also, Zyrre posting a condemning analysis on oni and then suddenly, a DT has a guilty on oni. Just a small coincidence? I'magainst lynching off clues, but right now the ones pointing at 3-lions are a bit too much. I trust Darth somewhat, but we need to be really careful right now with who we lynch. Doesn't trust in darth but also believe the 3-lions clues are very strong. If 3lions is mafia as we predicted, then deconduo just a town who emphasis more on clues then trust. On June 09 2010 21:46 Thegilaboy wrote: Based on analyses, and the fact that I think we can trust Darth for the most part, I will be voting for oni and the double lynch. LD's analysis seems too good to pass up and worth looking into as a potential second lynching candidate. 2nd person to support darth. Also supports lynching 3lions. Again, if 3lions turns mafia, he should also be innocent. On June 09 2010 22:43 Misder wrote: Double lynch tonight with oni and 3 Lions is what everyone is saying. Two questions to consider: Is the source reliable that told Darth? (Probably, otherwise if the real DT tells Darth, than the source would be called off) Is today's clues enough to point to 3 Lions? (I have no past experience in Mafia, and Im not sure if one day's clues is enough to point to one person. If someone can find more clues pointing to 3 Lions, I woul feel more confident in lynching him. I'll defend myself later. Can anyone explain exactly why they think Im mafia? Raised a lot of questions about the lynchings of onihunter and 3lions. He is trying to weaken our confidence in onihunter and 3lions being mafia or just playing a cautious game. On June 09 2010 23:40 zeks wrote: In DTA I trust. Very simple answer. Maybe he played mafia before and knows that when someone declares someone else mafia with a dt checks, then the accused would almost always be lynched.

Post #1138 + Show Spoiler + -questions the reliability of DTA's source -considers that there are not enough clues pointing at 3 lions Overall I disagree with a lot of things Misder has said over the course of this game. Namely, his justification for voting for MooCow (get rid of one so that we can tell them apart), and checking the barricade clue on TheGilaBoy when there are stronger connections. Most of his analysis were reposts and his lack of posts doesn't deliver enough substance to give a good read on him. I would definitely say he's leaning on the mafia side. However, I can't link any solid clues to him and that makes me uneasy. With 1192 posts (this one SHOULD be 1193 but then again, it's been a while since I've refreshed the page), each person should be posting roughly 35-40 posts. Misder has 16. I hope he posts more in the future; I do understand though that there are real life obligations we have to take care of. Overall: He's leaning on the mafia side for me, the only thing deterring me from voting for him is the lack of clues on him. P.S. Speaking of real life obligations, my high school prom is coming up this Friday - I definitely will be away. I might post a bit on Saturday if I'm not dead tired but I've got an orchestral performance @8PM (on the day after prom )and I'm not sure how late it'll go to.

For anyone who wanted to see why I voted for MooCow, reread my posts. Post 781 On June 08 2010 06:27 Misder wrote: I am going to switch over to MooCow now. I don't think that Deucegladlier cares anymore as many people stated, and that he actually voted forhimself. Maybe he doesn't want to play anymore? We have already given Deucegladlier time, yet he has not responded at all. This could mean several things: 1) He doesn't care about the game and he wants to get lynched (he voted for himself and is not posted even though he has been threatened to be lynched, most probable) 2) He doesn't care about the game and wants to make it harder for the townies to kill the mafia by creating diversersion (this doesn't make as much sense...) 3) This is all a ploy by the mafia and is trying to get people like me and AFJ, etc to change the votes so that Deucegladlier, the real mafia, doesn't actually get lynched (i think this is very very unprobable) Im going to MooCow instead of Thegilaboy because MooCow and TyranoS_NiveK have almost the same profile. If we can eliminate one, then if there are clues pointing to them, we know who it actually points to instead of having to decide which one. Plus, MooCow does seem a bit suspicious to me (AFJ did some analysis; I'll do some analysis myself in a seperate post if we don't lynch him) and does have clues pointing to him. Although Thegilaboy is still on my list of suspicion. If Deucegladlier is a townie, it makes people who voted for Deucegladlier and pushed for it more suspicious, especially if we find out that either Thegilaboy or MooCow is a mafia member. The mafia may be using Deucegladlier to buy time to kill more people. Of course, if Deucegladlier is a mafia, then everything is win-win. But its highly unprobable. @LaXer 1) Ok, you disagree with me. However I believed my analysis was sound. Even so, I still asked everyone to check if everything I said was ok (again, because I am new to the game, as you stated). When I did ask, I only got one response, and that was from Darth saying that he agreed with me. Post 916 On June 08 2010 09:22 Misder wrote: PS All my analysis is based on this ambiguity. However, in the beginning of the thread, people suggested to take a look at all the other mafia games. Admittedly, I was too lazy to read through the 100+ pgs, and read only the "Important Posts" that the mods write up. I did not read through the behavior and such, which leads to my lack of understanding of behavior, although I did read enough to see that flamewheel has been struck by lightning every time. On June 07 2010 12:07 Misder wrote: I leaning towards voting to lynch Deucegladlier. I don't think we should lynch anyone based on only two days worth of clues (kind of hypocritical of me cause I was pointing fingers at Thegilaboy and AcrossFiveJulys). Some of the clues that people are sugesting pointing at Thegilaboy are pretty weak, and although they really might be clues to Thegilaboy, we should see if any other clues point to him before lynching him. At least Thegilaboy is contributing to the thread (although im still suspicious of him). Also, the people that have voted for Thegilaboy have clues pointing to them. Seems suspicious. I don't think double-lynching is necessary now. Why double lynch people that are inactive? Shouldn't we save it for when we know the mafia members instead? About the voting schedule. I think this could be significant. The probability of three posters voting at approximately the same time is not that high. We shouldn't lynch on this fact, but keep it in mind. At the very least, we can see who is reading the thread and who is not. @Darth I don't know why you call my posts bull. If I shouldn't be connecting clues, what should I be doing? It seems like a lot of the thread is discussing what to do, but I don't have the experience to decide what the best thing to do is. Tell me what to discuss. Onihunter is mafia: YAY!!! And Darth's source is most likely town. (most likely, esp. after not even attempting to save himself) Onihunter is townie: ... At least we know we will lynch Darth's source. (did he just give up on the game?) Onihunter is blue: WTF is happening to this game?!!?! I'm also voting double lynch for the fact that if onihunter is a townie, then we can lynch Darth's source and the next person that is most likely mafia. If Onihunter is mafia, I think there are enough targets to hit anyways. One thing to consider: Is it possible this is all a ploy? Maybe both onihunter and Darth's sources are both mafia. Since KP rounds up, onihunter dying doesn't reduce KP. And Darth's source is free of suspicion because everyone will think town. Even if we find all the other mafia, we won't suspect the source, and there will always be one KP. I don't know if this is a viable strat for the mafia, but its something to consider.

This isn't me calling you Mafia, by the way, bumatlarge. Everyone has a right to be suspicious, and I don't think I've played a game of Mafia besides TL Mafia 2 wherein I wasn't under suspicion for one reason or another. I planned on doing some more cluework on that first day post to try to tie Onihunter down satisfactorily for myself, but, uh...He did my work for me, I guess. Thanks for the confirmation, dude. You make town life easy. Something of note about the clues. Assuming the clue linking Onihunter to the first kill is true (I'm inclined to say it is), then we probably have only one set of clues per Mafia member thus far. This is a good thing, because that means we can start profiling the similar/linked clues this coming day, as there will begin the first repeats. So, I'm going to try to summarize main points/potential clues about each of the killers thus far, following a format I've used before. Mafia A: (Very, very likely to be Onihunter given his behavior.) + Show Spoiler + Day 1: + Show Spoiler + Crime he thought, so unlikely in his town. Making his way down to the city center, he gazed at the buildings as he passed, the shopping mall that had just been built, the school he went to when he was a kid, just farther down the way a series of small stores and restaurants. This still strikes me as significant. Perhaps it was a clue linking to Onihunter by the fact that BC stops and turns around at the school, which is mentioned in Onihunter's profile. Making his way back the way he came, he stopped by the fountain in front of the office. It was there he noticed he was being followed. Turning, he saw a figure rush forward. The following morning, the town would discover the mayor BloodyC0bbler dead and floating in the town fountain. I'm going to guess we would have had a later clue linking to a short figure/growls or something, as the high school mascot seems to be a pitbull. The water has been explained. Mafia B: + Show Spoiler + Day 1: + Show Spoiler + Incognito the Pardoner, through his tremendous intuition, had sensed that something was to go down last night. At this time, I no longer feel that this is relevant. It seems like the clues are less spread out than I expected, which is good for us. Less red herrings, that way. Whilst in his office finishing his work, he deflected no less than five assassination attempts, ranging from sniffing poison in his coffee cup to leaping out of the way from a thrown knife while walking down the hallway. This needs to be noted and remembered. If this is a clue (it is possible that it isn't), then this killer is incompetent, unlucky, etc. or the misses are used to refer to an overarching clue. By 11:00, he had finished everything, and after securing all the windows and other entrances into the building, he prepared to leave for the night. I sincerely doubt the time is a clue, but figured I'd note it anyway (I get hung up on numbers). However, on his way out, he passed by the receptionist’s desk, and then something bad happened. Somebody had forgotten to turn off the printer, and it was on the point of overheating. Incognito recognized the danger and started backing away quickly, but in one freak moment, the printer exploded and showered Incognito with burning hot ink, hitting him in the face. As Incognito ran outward toward the street to escape, he was struck by a speeding car. It's just odd, isn't it? This can refer to any number of things. The killer got suddenly lucky, the death was improbable given the events leading up to it, the earlier attempts are irrelevant and some other force was at work on the printer/car. Just take note of the sequence between missed kills/sudden random kill, and watch for it to appear again. Mafia C: + Show Spoiler + Day 2: + Show Spoiler + Townspeople disappeared back to their homes, to wait out the night armed with shotguns behind hastily constructed barricades. Could be a clue, could be irrelevant. If a clue, then (haha) I'd start with looking at people with direct StarCraft references linked to them. However, after everybody else had left ElyAs stayed behind. He walked up to jiabung's body still hung, and began to inspect jiabung, perhaps looking for clues. The only reason I think this has good potential to be a clue, still, is the usage of the word "perhaps". It just feels like hesitant writing, to me, indicating some sort of specific thought process behind it. As always, I have the potential to be wrong, and feel it's more likely in this instance than not that I am. However, if this becomes a trend, definitely start tying it to people. A masked figure followed him, and stealthily kept to the shadows, not letting ElyAs out of his sight. The masked part is the most significant thing being told here, I believe. This gives some indication as to the appearance or attire of the killer. ElyAs moved quickly, breaking into a quick run, hoping to make it back home before he was overtaken. However, he was not to make it. As ElyAs passed by the town courthouse, he noticed that he had already been beaten--the masked figure was sitting on the steps. I know I've said it at least twice before already, but this is also very important. The masked person not only beat the running Elyas to the courthouse, but beat him there handily enough to be sitting there, waiting for him. This indicates that the killer has some sort of ability to traverse distances quickly (blink was already mentioned for TheGilaBoy, which I still support with an eye to looking for recurrences) or is a reference to some aspect of the killer's personality, such as a tendency/will to win (I know zeks has something about it in his profile and I believe one or two others do, as well). Whatever the case may be, keep it in mind. ElyAs gasped, but in an instant his life had been snuffed out, and the killer walked away with a bloodied knife. I don't feel like there are any clues here, but if there is it would most likely be either the bolded portion, which would refer to either how quickly he was killed or the specific use of the word "snuffed". Mafia D: + Show Spoiler + Day 2: + Show Spoiler + He was at his desk in his library, looking at the pictures of the recently deceased town leaders through his magnifying glass. After carefully analyzing the pictures, he realized he was no step closer to solving this crime. Could be a clue, could be entirely irrelevant. The only way I see this being a clue is if at least one of the six Mafia have clues spread around instead of being actual killers. I doubt that this is the case. After climbing into the bed, he turned off his light and turned to see his drapes flutter in the wind. He moved to them and saw his window open, shaking his head and not remembering opening the window, he moved to close it. The only relevant thing to note here, I feel, is that something opened his window (presumably second-story or higher, due to the death) and entered the room without him seeing them. This could indicate several things, most notably small size or invisibility. As he reached out to grab the handle, he felt a weight push against him, and he went tumbling out the window. A sickening crack was heard, and the lifeless eyes of barth gazed up at the sky. I keep coming back to this. Something "pushed" him out the window, but did not physically touch him. Otherwise it would have been worded differently. As I have noted before, this indicates that Mafia D is either something like a ghost or possesses some sort of ability to manipulate the world around them, without actually physically touching it. Mafia E: + Show Spoiler + Day 3: + Show Spoiler + It was pyr0ma5ta's night off from his job, and so he was headed back home. He walked slowly and deliberately, scanning the crowd for any signs of mafia. He knew that the mafia might target him for this, but it was his job. After the last townsperson had left the town square, pyr0ma5ta picked up the pace. However, he failed to notice that somebody was pursuing him as he made his way back home. Pyromasta was scrutinizing the crowd of people and only left after everyone else had gone. This means that his killer either had either hid himself well or was not visible to Pyromasta in some other way. pyr0ma5ta lived on the outskirts of town, and he had almost made it back home before he sensed somebody behind him. This portion strikes me as slightly odd, but it may just be flavor for the writing. However, pyr0ma5ta was undeterred, and slowly turned around, reaching for the handgun that he kept hidden in his back pocket. Before he could withdraw the gun though, something flew through the air, blinding pyr0ma5ta as it hit him in the face. As he clawed at the suffocating object, it released an electrical shock that brought pyr0ma5ta to his knees. Several things of note here. First, this is not the killer flying through the air, rather a tool/assistant to the killer. Likely thrown, as per the killer's approaching footsteps later. Note that the object blinds Pyromasta and then suffocates him, meaning that it covers his entire face. Finally, the electric shock brings Pyromasta down, meaning that it was powerful enough to actually arrest his nerves, rather than just a painful attack. I'm honestly not sure where to go with this. I searched long and hard last night without a satisfactory suspect to connect it to. Several "half-way there's", but nothing of real substance. (I also thought of jellyfish, YellowInk.) As he lay there, stunned, he heard footsteps approaching him. The last thing pyr0ma5ta would hear was the sound of his killer's heavy breathing. The first only serves to reiterate what was said earlier; the killer was not the object which latched onto Pyromasta's face, and it's likely he threw the object at Pyromasta. The heavy breathing could mean many things, such as an indication of physique, distance from Pyromasta, breathing apparatus, asthma, or other character oddity. Honestly, my first thought was of DarthTheinAn, only because of the "Darth". : x Mafia F: (Very likely to be 3 Lions, to me.) + Show Spoiler + Day 3: + Show Spoiler + First off, I'd like to just note how short this part is. Just six sentences long. This makes me feel very strongly that the clues are structured in a tight way for this Mafia, and that BC/Flamewheel felt they couldn't elaborate for very long without making it completely obvious. AcrossFiveJulys was on the prowl this night, he knew full well that in this city, it had become a survival of the fit. On the prowl is not a very common phrase, in general. The survival of the fit is the only part of the 3 Lions connection that worries me, as "fittest" would more neatly fall into place with the whole Lion thing. (I disagree with the b-boy picture being used as a reference to that.) He was hoping that the mafia would slip up, and creeping up and down streets through the shadows, and checking every alley revealed nothing. Again, somewhat odd wording. Sighing, he moved into the local bar that he knew would still be open at this hour. Snagging a pint from the bar, and then sitting down in a booth, he sighed in frustration. I'm not sure what all the sighing is about, but if this isn't 3 Lions, then this should be looked at more closely. After he finished his beer, he ordered another, then another. By the end of the night AcrossFiveJuly’s had no idea who stabbed him, but he was left dead all the same. This is really the part that sold me, as it tied together the other part of the name quite nicely. Three beers.

I considered this, too, but there are only a few things to be gained from this. 1. If the DT is mafia, then he gains long-term credit with Darth. 2. If Darth is mafia (and the DT doesn't exist), then he gains long-term credit with town. Those are both quite far-fetched, given the scenario. 3 Lions was most definitely going to be lynched until Onihunter was announced. The only way the above scenarios are possible is if 3 Lions turns up town/blue and that Onihunter just didn't feel like playing anymore (possible given his reaction) as he wasn't under too much overt suspicion. Basically, this means Mafia would have thrown their most suspicious person out to die, rather than someone who, while under some scrutiny, was not likely to fall under the lynch-wagon anytime soon. This leads me to conclude that the scheme is entirely too convoluted and risky for Mafia-side to be engaging in it.

Sorry crate, this weak clue points to you. crate's Public Profile: You know, the most amazing thing happened to me tonight. I was coming here, on the way to the lecture, and I came in through the parking lot. And you won't believe what happened. I saw a car with the license plate ARW 357. Can you imagine? Of all the millions of license plates in the state, what was the chance that I would see that particular one tonight? Amazing! The theme of crate's profile is "what is the chance?" day 1 post: Incognito the Pardoner, through his tremendous intuition, had sensed that something was to go down last night. Whilst in his office finishing his work, he deflected no less than five assassination attempts, ranging from sniffing poison in his coffee cup to leaping out of the way from a thrown knife while walking down the hallway. Dedicated and passionate to his job, Incognito would not let any threat deter him from furthering the prosperity of the town. By 11:00, he had finished everything, and after securing all the windows and other entrances into the building, he prepared to leave for the night. The whole paragraph is about Incognito being very cautious and yet got the worst luck ever Somebody forgot to turn off the printer and it exploded hitting him with hot ink. The chance of that happening was pretty low. He got ran over by a speeding car which might not be unintended. But a speeding car often refers to reckless, acholic drivers right? But the counter argument is the line: Incognito recognized the danger and started backing away quickly. Because Incognito realizes he is in danger which means what is happening is not unintended. I hope this wasn't already pointed out by someone.
