He did a seqeul of "On The Waterfront". He was actor/director/writer. I say he outperformed Marlon Brando in this rendition of On THe Waterfront.

They're entire schtick is to provide content to affirm certain beliefs, and I don't think their audiences will care, because that's why they engage with the Daily Wire. ok real talk. every comedian is a "literal hollywood reject" these days. https://www.foxnews.com/media/seinfeld-margulies-industry-heavyweights-rip-hollywoods-hypocrisy-antisemitism-failed-deeply Jerry Seinfeld and Andy Kaufman are the best comedians of their respective eras. They're both Hollywood rejects. Hollywood keeps on treating its employees like garbage and blacklisting everyone and Hollywood will create its own competition. https://screenrant.com/hollywood-2023-movies-shows-broken-problems/ hundreds of artists left the project due to poor treatment and overwork. So, while the film industry has found a medium that could pull it back from death, working conditions must be fixed. if Ben Shapiro can make deals with guys like Jerry Seinfeld and a few of the other comedians Hollywood has tried to "cancel" then the Daily Wire will be able to make decent comedy shows. And if you think Andy Kaufman's disappearing acts in the 80s were bizarre... Dave Chappelle is getting in on the action. He denies he was in Boston on October 19. ROFLMAO. Now, this guy, is a liar I can respect. https://www.vulture.com/2023/10/dave-chappelle-israel-hamas-stand-up.html Because a spokesperson for Chappelle told The Wall Street Journal the comedian “denies being in Boston that night.” Dave Chappelle is another one of a great many brilliant comedians who is also a Hollywood reject. In closing, 87 bazillion comedians and comedy writers are "literal Hollywood rejects" at this point. If Shapiro and Boering can figure out how to bring them into the Daily Wire fold we could have a hilarious competition. I didn't like Lady Ballers.. but hey... at least they are trying.

Godzilla Minus One is absolutely amazing. This and Shin Godzilla really show the difference between Hollywood and people who actually care about their work. Delivering superior movie at a fraction of the budget. Definitely movie of the year for me.

8/10 for non-wrestling fans. 10/10 for wrestling fans. The story of the Von Erich family. There have been a few movies about pro wrestling over the last 30 years. None of them comes any where close to the quality of this movie. It is surprisingly, brutally, bitterly accurate. Usually, movies like this take liberties with the facts. I only found 1 major fact change. This trailer does not do the movie justice. Many brilliant performances. Fritz Von Erich is pure evil. Death by Suicide has been steadily rising in NA for decades. https://www.usatoday.com/story/graphics/2023/11/29/2022-suicide-rate-historical-chart-comparison-graphic/71737857007/ What are you doing about it?

When Marlon Brando started screaming "Stella!" I had a eureka moment! 4/10. My wife and her sister liked it. I don't get it. On a positive note, this movie resolved a scene in Seinfeld I never understood. I knew something was being referenced... now I figured it out. My grandmother was not happy that one of my cousins named her daughter Stella. Multiple mysteries solved!

The film follows a frustrated novelist-professor. His novels receive academic praise, but sell poorly, and publishers reject his most recent manuscript for not being "black enough". He writes an outlandishly stereotypical "black" book as satire, only for the book to be published to high sales and praise.

The characters were super shallow, the progress slow, the fights looked super sus at times. Overall it felt like very little happened at all of substance in the movie. The Soundtrack was good and the pictures/Scenes at times, too. But even something about the sounds felt off to me at times. Am I the only one who feels that way? I might consider watching Dune 2 if it gets a lot of praise but I dont know.. Dune 1 was also recommended and I would rate it average at best.. probably below average tbh..

It's alright to feel differently than the majority, we don't all like the same things. For me, slow progress was part of the appeal it had, the whole experience on big screen and real sound system was beautiful to look at, I went to see it twice, and it went just as fast. We live in a world where series have replaced movies and everything needs to happen fast, plots crammed in 1h... So really developing characters slowly is a luxury we don't have often. There is not a right way to feel about it. I wouldn't call the characters shallow, of course they are simplified from the book... Personally I could just watch 3 hours of scenery with the music and be happy. I also kind of liked the old dune movie and many don't... So I might not be the best example.

Why did I not care when people close to the main protagonist died? I agree slow movies can be good & the fast paced stuff that developed recently is a problem.. I just did not connect with the main characters at all and didn't really buy "it".. Maybe I should rewatch it and I feel different. Maybe I watched it in a very very upset state or sth.. Normally I rarely heavily dislike movies that on average are deemed good + so it is confusing me a bit. (I also didnt read the books. Dont know if it makes it weirder or less weirder then)

Also sometimes you have people that likes exactly the same things as you do and then out of nowhere they go "ooh I looove the spice girl movie" and then your question your whole reality

Dune feels like a much more generic type of movie than Fight Club though. Tell me how much you liked Dune 2 in case u watch it. Maybe I ll give it a shot again and watch 1+2 when I am in a good mood
