Especially when the group can easily have 1 or even 2 players that are pretty sure to get out. Bigger round-robin groups give everyone a better opportunity to show their skill. Simply generally seeding matters less in bigger groups. The schedule could be better. Maybe every day has games only from two groups and 4 games from a group per a day. This would also give one whole day to prepare between matches. The issue of being lower prestige per match than in GSL-like groups is harder to solve and would probably require more marketing to raise interest in each match. Valid point, this format gives up and coming players much MUCH more visibility which is great in the long run because it gives them an incentive to keep on playing and putting efforts into getting better. But from an entertainment point of view i'd rather see the best players get to play each other as soon as possible instead of watching Ziggy and Gerald fighting each other in a quite low stake BO3. I definitely agree with those points BUT I don't know if people won't get weary of the drawn out format so that the increased exposure doesn't really pay off in the end.

I think we're still in the phase of Corona time where people are glad about having something to watch every day because it was so long without anything. I've kinda missed having WCS EU to watch in the evenings these past 5 years.
