I am lowkey worried for Serral's ZvZ games in DouYu Cup; these maps and meta surely fit the koreans more.

Reynor is always good vs Serral, which shouldn't surprise anyone. I think he will have a hard time vs any korean tho

We're speaking about Clem's rise but Reynor has improved a lot lately, he seems better than Serral in every match up.

agree

I'd even say he's the favorite entering the season finals

It'll be interesting to see how he fares against Maru and PartinG, two players who are very much capable of outmicroing him.

Maru is the other favorite but we've seen much less of him lately

But imo those two are the hottest sc2 players right now

Maru did 3-0 Dark to get to the finals. Also I can see him struggling against both Inno and TY.

Don't forget Serral was still the one from the upper bracket.

But it is nice that we have now 2 European powerhouses

Reynor has won over Serral multiple times tho? How is this something new?

Reynor did manage to sneak a few wins from Serral but his play in general was far below Serral, specially with Korean competition

Reynor never trampled Serral this way. The last time Reynor looked this strong he took korean heads left and right at HSC, it would be surprising to see struggle against them next week.

It's not really about Reynor beating Serral head-to-head though, it's about Reynor looking better than Serral across the board this tournament.

Indeed, koreans vs Serral/Raynor will be dope. Kinda hate when in a region lock Europe only tournaments the casters dare to say the two best sc2 players of the world.

Considering he lost to Serral earlier this tournament, i wouldn't consider this to be too telling.

You think it'd be surprising to see him struggle against 6 of the top 8 players of GSL? He's surely not gonna have an easy time.

You don't think a single player from the GSL top 4 is hot right now, let alone the champion himself?

I dunno. I think PartinG's run was kinda miraculous and I actually don't see him perform very well now in the season finals now that the impact of his 4 gate blink has faded. Cure looked so-so after a difficult to swallow loss, sometimes still extremely good, sometimes quite off. TY... well has not played seriously since he won the GSL, I mean he lost vs Bly and Armani. As for INno, yeah his mech is dangerous, but I don't know, he didn't look really incredible to me either. Honestly I really think Reynor and Maru enter this as favorites. Then again, maybe TY or INno comes up extremely sharp and prepared and crushes everybody, but I haven't got anything to support that theory.

Without any doubt.
I don't expect him to beat them all, but I expect him to play well and make a very strong showing; Reynor might as well win, even if I don't see him as the favourite.

Also, Dream is better than Clem at TvT while Clem is better at TvZ; I think Clem is better overall.

Maru sucks at international and weekenders, TY and Inno have a much better chance than people give them.

Last I heard PartinG is very confident against Terran. I think as per usual for Protoss, the Zerg players as well as the other Protoss players will be more worrying for him.

Also you have the least to go off for Maru but you rate him the highest

This and the fact that this is going to be played with ping, which annoys Maru very much, are definitely good points. But I can't say TY is the favorite with no result to back it up since the GSL finals.

don't agree. He beats Dark while TY loses to Solar, Armani and freakin Bly (I know that last series means zilch, but still)
