Psychological warfare of course! Underperform and you lose a limb, life of a pro starcrafter is hard

Basically the thesis is that if SKT1 just played straight up, they wouldn't have lost. Lame.
Congrats on your blue status Frozen.

Oh the article actually says he's played it ONCE and lost on it. I guess they are only counting proleague games. My mistake.

That answers a lot of questions! Thank you OneOther :D

Well, Frozen's translation says that they basically used Best as an Ace snipe (wtf, you don't need Best to snipe anybody) on Othello and failed. If they used midas (or Canata) versus Leta, a TvP beast would have not been able to take his game. That combined with if they used Best on Katrina (the PvP monster) they would have had the games not go to Ace. Even then, They could have used Bisu against lux and he would have had the benefit of more practice time, plus Midas would have been a threat (OGN basically took one look at the the lineups and said that Lux is playing against a protoss).
Edit: now the KTF coach is probably the worst in the league at starcraft, haha.

Yeah T1 tried to do too much imo. Shoulda just sent Midas on Othello + BeSt on Katrina for PvP.
But then again it was a gamble... just didn't work out very well.

Ok whatever they said about that mind game confused me. And I thought they pre determine the players playing in each map, do they improv during the pl playoffs?

Ace match player isn't OFFICIALLY determined, but most teams choose a player beforehand so he can practice...
What are you confused about?

The frostmourne is going to consume that mans soul...

reading all the OGN strats make SKT's coach newb.
BUT..
FUCKING GOOD LUCK WITH KTF PLEASE. If Flash is slumped he is to blame. Need more Nal_ra along with the other 2 Protoss apprentice for loss of Reach.

Well I must say I'm confused, too. I as a terran player got the feeling that Othello favors terran over protoss in the long run and I mean favors as in unlikely to lose a single game if done correctly. On Othello this imbalance is a combination of several things, terran gets 3 gas pretty easily, can use tankdrops at several quite easily reachable locations, has pretty secure bases because of short distances, can stop counterplay very well because protoss doesn't have much space to attack from the sides. As long as terran is aware of what his opponent is doing he has much better chances in a macro-battle with the newly discovered strengths of terran like EMP and quick 3-3 or 3-2. Having Midas play on that map would've made so much more sense, it was a horrible decision not to give him that spot. Bisu on Colosseum was alright. I don't see this as a mistake, I just think he was very unfortunate in that game. I even think he was the better choice because he was already kinda warmed up from his first game on that day.

I guess they thought BeSt was good enough to snipe any of OGN's Terrans on a T favored Othello.
Note: OGN Terrans have always been infamous for having awful TvPs. Leta was 1-7 or something as well before winning like 3 in a row.
