I play it often and he doesnt have many losing match ups honestly, you can beat almost everyone including ranged champs, perhaps, especially ranged champs. Yes, Akali and Tryndamere are nightmares, Kled and Yasuo could be quite unpleasant too, but every champ has bad match ups and Akali bullshit on everyone anyway. Olaf falls off late more than any other bruiser, but you can win top early and you can go steal enemies jungle and you can create enough pressure to push lanes and go help for drakes & rifts. Also the new Shurelya is a faster and better power spike than Glory now, which makes Olaf mid game even more menacing

Irelia into Olaf top is basically unplayable unless you’re jungler baby sits you to first item.
I also think sanguine Blade, even the nerfed version, works really well with his kit for 1v1

Olaf top doesn't win nearly hard enough in most matchups (and he gets crushed in quite a few) to justify his bad lategsme.

On contrary I think this is a good baseline to buff her accordingly in future Agreed. Idk, it's tough, but it's fair imo. Likely means she'll need Flash, too. Which is reasonable, no reason for her to get a summoner advantage for free. Kind of kills some of her hidden power making her op at pro play. Edit: I have to say, the removal of jungle catchup XP is very noticable in comparison to laners who do have catchup XP. Just played a game with a DCd top laners, he came back 11 minutes into the game at level 3 when I was level 8. He hit level 11 before either Jungle did. I also have to say, having an enemy laner show up at your buff in soloqueue is an absolute death sentence. Feels pretty bad. You almost have to save wards for your Jungle entrance near lanes that don't have prio. I guess it's a risky invade, but the rewards are just so sweet and the biggest offenders can easily jump walls to get away. If you do any fighting at all you'll be level 4 at your 1st buff respawn and if say the enemy mid laner is level 6 you'll legit get one shot. I've started to play toplaners that can shove early just so I can fuck with the enemy jungler at buff just for this reason. How Ryze still hasn't nerfed is beyond me. He's braindead easy to play (even I can carry on him lol) and silly broken. What is a jungler supposed to do when like a level 6 Aatrox/Talon/LeBlanc/Zed is waiting at their red Buff? Idk. Jungle feels like it has very low agency at the moment. Where you can go on the map is kind of fundamentally out of your control this preseason and for a role that relies on moving throughout the whole map as a baseline that feels real bad. Playing Olaf this season feels like playing Amumu in S4 or 5. I don't necessarily think that jungle is bad or anything. Just an observation. Feels like a lot less is in your control. i really like how theyve changed jg now to be more meaningful in its role and gameplay rather than being the lane that is able to snowball and carry the game better than your actual lanes. the only downside is i definitely notice the smaller pool of champions that can play in the jungle now. playing a weak jungle feels so bad this season because laners either forgot or dont know how to cover your jungles for you.
I like how the jungle feels in isolation. It feels like making high percentage plays is more consistently rewarded and j think that feels very good.
It just feels awful being so at mercy of your lane matchups. Legit you're as vulnerable on fast and strong early junglers to lane invades today as you were on weak / poor farming junglers like Amumu in days of old to Top tier junglers.
Feels like in a quarter of my games I get hard carried by a solo leave, a quarter I get hard dumpstered by one of the other teams solo lanes. Then it's the other 50% with even solos that feel really good. Thing is a mid laner can take the game out of the junglers hands completely before the jungler even has had a chance to really get into the game at all. If you die to a solo laner at your second buff, you're fucked. You lose your whole side of the jungle to the other jungler and now you're permanently 2 levels behind and are nothing but a passenger.
So you have to path around your strong sides, ward all your jungle entrances on weak sides. Top isn't atrocious, but when you're mid matchup is bad you just can't ward every path and you can't just not farm if their mid stops showing for a second because unlike in lane when you stop farming that way you fundamentally don't get the experience in addition to missing the gold. And as an already low gold role, missing that XP feels quite bad. No matter what you pick you have to tiptoe around the map because even really early as the jungle you have the least clout on the map, aside from bot lane. Which sucks for bot lane, too, but they atleast have a tower to hide behind, constant access to XP, and the ability to look forward to what is usually the best scaling in the game.
I guess perhaps part of it is my pathing; I've been starting weak side clear into pathing to strong side and warding / ganking / clearing strong side. Feels the most solid for carrying the game, because it allows you to gank early on what is likely your win condition, and doesnt leave you exposed to losing camps to an invade, which is kind of a death sentence. That being said, I guess it exacerbates the extreme level 6 solo lane to level 4 jungle thing at that first buff respawn. Perhaps I should be doing the opposite; weak side may be more gankable and you likely are far less vulnerable to just lose the game at the first buff respawn. If you know the other jungler started that dude you can get the gank off safely if it's there. I guess the weak point would be if he started on your weak side and looks to gank right away you're for sure going to lose the 2v2 and likely can't vertical jungle in time, whereas with the other pathing you get to vertical jungle if he's on the other side + win the 2v2 and make your own cross map play.
Idk, maybe I'm just over thinking it or perhaps getting hit with confirmation bias.
