Pretty sure this is the guy who came to the Power Rank thread after Serral won GSL vs The World and managed to say Serral isn't even top 10 or something like that. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of trolling, but I don't really get why do that here on TL where people are kind of already korean biased compared to reddit.
Kind of a shame for Reynor to be out after almost topping the group / 2-0ing Maru, but that's something that happens often in GSL and that's why all in all it's such a difficult tournament. Neeb looked so bad against Maru, yet he was the one to come out second ultimately.

Not to mention Maru rocked him in both games without breaking a sweat. You're mad that Neeb decided to show some personality and have banter by calling out Maru for only playing early game-centric builds vs him? Are you for real lol Why would we try and put down a player for doing what players in every other competition do? That just makes no sense to me Calling out Maru? Are you kidding me? If neeb was a player of Maru's caliber I could see where you're coming from perhaps, but Neeb is no where close to Maru's skill level. It's not banter it's delusion, thinking that his inability to survive past 3 minutes means hes not the worst player to make ro8 in years. Personality? Neeb's "personality" is a chain of forced awkward statements. He doesn't look "cool" for what he said, he looks like an angsty child who can't accept being outclassed. I'm sorry but it's just disrespectful to taunt the reigning champion and favorite to win the tournament, especially after getting soaked. Not to mention Maru rocked him in both games without breaking a sweat. Time and tides. I had Maru and Impact getting through this bracket, I was wrong, I take it you were too? Neeb's banter is banter, but the constant proxy 2 rax openings by Maru deserve to be made fun of...no??? When you lose to someone in competition - you don't make fun of them. You should accept the loss and be respectful to the one who defeated you. That's basic tournament ettiquitte, especially when the one who defeated you is considered to be the best and tournament favorite. edit: if a mod could delete my empty post below, that'd be appreciated, I made two consecutive posts when I should have just made one stacked post. Seriously? This is what you're freaking out about? This? "My PvT is pretty good but, I'm just sad I didn't get to show it this tournament because Maru just proxied me and I didn't defend the proxies well enough to even get into the mid game. But I think my PvT's pretty good actually." This is the "taunt" you're so upset about? This is "calling out Maru"? Not to mention here is the very first thing Neeb says in his interview: "I really thought I was just going to lose to Impact 2-0 or something. So it feels nice to go through but, I don't think my run has been that impressive so far. So I'll try to show way better games for the round of eight." Damn! What arrogance! What angst! In fact he even supported one of the exact points you're trying to make, that his path hasn't been that impressive! How dare he. You are either a bad troll or the most belligerent Korean elitist on this site. You've only been posting for a month and almost every single post is shitting on foreign players in some way. Serral has a lot to prove. He didn't perform in korean tournament just like Neeb did when he won kespa cup. He has to prove that he is a top contender to big events. It is now or never because the next and final stop will be Blizzcon. i guess a 3rd place in WESG (with a win over classic, since neeb was 3rd the year before) and a ro4 at IEM WC is nothing to ignore as well. Especially if you consider the fact that Neeb mostly had to win PvPs back in the day (i think it was one series vs. Pet or something). Still a pretty damn good achivement from him, but I rate Serrals higher tbh. Even if he loses a close series vs inno its still a good sign for his level i would say Serral squeeked by Trap 3-2. Trap is not even the best Protoss in Korea. Serral then proceeded in Katowice to get stomped hard by Classic. That's what he did to get ro4... one series win against Trap. Now lets look at WESG... he beat neeb... and lost to Maru 0-3. Okay, he beat Classic 3-1 in the third place match, sure, but he lost 0-3 to Classic when the match truly mattered for the tournament. Stop saying "Serral got top 4 at WESG!!", that makes it sound much more impressive than it is. Serral beat Neeb to get there. Yes, that's all Serral did to reach the Ro4 at Katowice. Oh you know except go 6-1 against Rogue, Zest and Impact in the group stages. Did we forget that part, or it just didn't support the narrative we were trying to make? And when Serral loses to Classic it was important but when he beat Classic it was irrelevant. But the pro-foreigners are the ones who are biased! Lol. No... Showtime isn't strong, he got lucky Round 1. Right He got the best PvP Player he's so lucky. 1) Zest is not the best PvP 2) Zest didn't give showtime even the slightest ounce of respect. The foreigner bias of some of you is so strong that it makes me laugh in real life. Seriously, do you even watch foreign starcraft? Or did you just see the name Reynor, look him up Liquipedia and say "no results, must be a shitter!" "Gets trashed at events against foreigners without fail" LOL. You do know he just turned 16 a month ago right? And before that he couldn't play in WCS tournaments? As far as I know he has played in three offline events this year: WESG, WCS Valencia, and GSL. So how'd he do? At WESG he made the Ro8 and lost to Maru, beating every foreign player he met along the way. At WCS Valencia he got first in his group in Stage 1, Stage 2, AND Stage 3, went 3-0 against Special in the Ro16 then lost to Serral in the Ro8. Ok, so he made the Round of 8 at both events, beat every single foreign player he met along the way in both events, and both of his losses were to the overwhelming favorites and eventual champions. This is him getting "trashed at events against foreigners without fail" and getting "continually owned at foreigner events"? Two events where he beat every foreign player he faced except for Serral? It seems very clear from the things you say that you know nothing about any of these players but are antagonistically shitting on them solely because they're not Korean. Even your very first post on this site was to shit on Serral. Again, you are either a troll or Korean elitist to a disgusting degree and mean about it. I wouldn't say that Neeb looked bad against Maru, exactly, as there wasn't much of him to see, unfortunately... Neeb looks bad against any kind of "dedicated aggression", as NoRegret puts it, and this, I feel, is what has been keeping him back throughout 2018.
I think back to Blizzcon 2017, when Neeb took his first series against Rouge, beating him to a pulp on the super late game. soO is watching, of course, and the very next game he goes for a 2-base build and kills Neeb twice without much trouble. Then it's Rouge's turn for the rematch, so of course he follows soO's example, and Neeb's out. I feel that ever since, Koreans view Neeb as someone you should always try to break on the early game and get an easy win. That's pretty much how Dark manhandled him lately. Maybe if Reynor would have adopted that frame of mind, he'd come out second in the group...
Honestly, I think that Reynor has a better chance in the RO8 than Neeb, because he hasn't been figured out by the Koreans to the extent that Neeb had. But my heart, ever since that KeSPA Cup in 2016, yearns for Neeb to go on another miracle run. The problem is, no matter how good he gets in the late game, he's still gonna get stomped on if he doesn't do something to counter the cheese that he needs to assume is coming his way.

BTT: Was a bit surprised, too. As well Reynor doing that good against Maru (it really was close for a game most of the people would have assumed a safe 2-0 for Maru) as Neeb beeting Reynor. But in the end it was of course just cleverness ... Neeb prepared for pretty much one match-up, while Reynor seemed to have prepared for all three of them. Guess it's a bit about Experience ... of course Reynor lacks a bit regarding his age. But i'm sure we can expect a lot of him in the coming years, maybe he even can become a Serral 2.0 ...

Good read, Torrefy! I think if Neeb genuinely did taunt Maru (he didn't really), it'd be fun times anyway. Banter is good, and i highly doubt Neeb disrespects any of the Korean pros, especially Maru.

I remember because I replied to one of your posts in the GSL vs the World preview thread, where you said Serral would get 4-0'd and I said there was noone in the world who was a favorite to beat Serral 4-0, even Maru. (Not to just beat him, but specifically to beat him 4-0) Then you and several other posters jumped in to tell me that "Maru would not only 4-0 Serral, he would go out of his way to do it in the most humiliating fashion possible", "Serral vs. Maru would be a complete curb stomping by Maru", and this one is from you "Serral has no hope against Inno or Maru" And you may not know this but you can look up users posts on this site. Don't worry, I'm not keeping a file. Forgetting whether or not this is even true, which is subjective and debatable, this isn't even what you said. You said, not just once but three separate times, that "Reynor gets trashed at events against foreigners without fail." This is literally demonstrably false. Unless you consider going 10-0 in matches and 23-2 in maps against all foreigners not named Serral as getting trashed against foreigners without fail. You literally made this fact up and posted it three separate times for the express purpose of making Reynor look bad. Either that or you had absolutely no idea what you were talking about and you were just spewing nonsense with no care at all whether it was even close to true. Neither one of these should be acceptable. In fact you were so personally insulted by Neebs outrageous "taunting" of Maru that you had to go after HIM personally! Calling him "awkward" and "an angsty child" (I mean really, can't you just FEEL the angst in those clips?" Show nested quote +On August 16 2018 10:45 Rodya wrote: Calling out Maru?
Notice that when Dark loses, he doesn't disrespect his opponents, he's respectful and just practices to get better.
I especially like how you made sure to slip in there that a KOREAN doesn't disrespect his opponents, not like that baddy Neeb. The goal is to get you to stop posting biased nonsense that you literally haven't even bothered to fact check. But yes, failing that then at least now everyone will know to ignore you. This and your first takedown are now Posts of the Year. And also ranked #1 in Top 10 moments before disaster.
Seriously, can someone nominate this man to the next TLCMAT? He has my vote. Eloquent, followed all guidelines, and brutally savage.
