Maru and Neeb advance to GSL RO8 (Season 3) - Page 4

Happy for Neeb that he advanced, especially since in his interview he seemed pretty content with just making ro32. In the year of Serral I feel like Neeb is quietly still having a very good year- winning a decent chunk of change at a tournament in China with a few quality players and now GSL ro8. Oddly enough his PvP seems like his worst matchup now.

So, hmm, where do we cast our vote to make Torrefy a mod?

Apologies that this continues the completely off topic discussion, but I need to also say RIP Rodya, sorry about your tattered credibility, and also sorry you got burned so hard you're now dead.

Man it is crazy to think about how close Reynor came to beating Maru 2:0 and advancing in first place, but in the end he still got knocked out. Let's hope Neeb comes as prepared as he said he would into the ro8.

Maru winning this season would kinda suprise me after seeing his play in this group. But in longer series he only gets stronger I guess.

And I tried to report Torrefy, but under reasons there was no option for murder :/.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Can you guys stop quoting him? (or put the quote in the spoiler) It gets really hard to read anything then, thanks
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

And this is what I call "bracket luck". In my opinion Reynor (who really surprised me because I'm a detractor of his overhype and a salty fanboy who hates him because he always roflstomps my boi SpeCial) was a much better player than Neeb. You can see how Maru totally underestimated him and that match almost slip from his hands. Neeb was surgically shattered by Maru. In a total contrast to this Reynor seemed like an actual almost on par opponent.

If Neeb makes it to the Ro4, it's gonna conflict with WCS Montreal.

Afreeca will probably rearrange it to just after Montreal if that happens.
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

I want Maru to win this season but his play looked really shaky, especially versus Reynor, and his most likely next opponent will be Zerg.

I think he'll be just fine

Torrefy's first post belongs to r/murderedbywords

Pretty fun group to watch, bummed by Reynor's lost for sure. He was so close, feels like he was betrayed by tilting/nerves/inexperience. I don't feel great for Neeb's chances in the next round, but then again, we all know what he's capable of, and getting to play in the GSL playoff must be one hell of a motivator.

I haven't followed Starcraft 2 the past 2-3 years so much.

Would you please tell me who was greatest player alive before maru became it this year?

I am not sure where you get that from. I saw Game 2 and Neeb outplayed Reynor in every stage of the game. Neeb's unit composition was more complicated and predicted what Reynor was doing.

I ain't bashing Reynor bc I am a Zerg player myself. That game just makes it look like Reynor is an immature player. The talent is there. Just give him some time.

Well Neeb had bracket luck, but in the end he beat him, so there's where the bracket luck ends

Considering Koreans and their PvZ, it's possible, but on paper he's big underdog, mostly because it's bo5 so 3 random cheeses won't work.
