He always underperforms. I agree with you on the 12 hatch. He should have gone 12 pool instead. However, ZvZ is always a coinflip (unless you are Jaedong and it's 2009). There is no "safe" opening for the better player. Soulkey's muta vs muta micro is also quite mediocre which is baffling because his muta micro in general is quite stellar. Soulkey is one of the players who would benefit from having a coach btw. Always underperforming is a huge exaggeration btw. He got to the Ro4 in ASL3 and got knocked out 2-3 by Flash. He got to the Ro8 last ASL and got knocked out in a ZvZ. Again 2-3. He won the WEGL, beating Last, Flash and Larva without dropping a single game. Yeah, he is underperforming for sure...

And there were times Soulkey’s lings infiltrated Action’s base. but I don’t know Soulkey still lost the game I really wanted him to fight Flash Even he has one more hatch, his gas is still way behind, Action even didn't need get ling speed that means another 100 gas. Gas count is the major factor once Muta is out, more mineral and lings are minor.

Well, there was a short period before the ASL started. Zerg was getting dominated by both terran and protoss. They made some quick, consecutive changes to help zerg. Now terran seems fucked and protoss still dominates. The games on Sparkle are a hell of a lot better than on Transistor though. And Third World looks pretty bad for protoss. I like new maps but they overdid it here. The test-phase was not long enough and they just throw in more. Makes for a lot of upsets (not really because by now we know the imbalances).

Your right it is an exaggeration, though Last chokes constantly, if you really want to talk about a quintessential under performer...flash was the only time soulkey actually met his own potential, but losing 2-3 against hero in a zvz? Thats not soulkeys potential. This sure as shit wasnt. 12p against 12h is totally winnable, especially if your the better player. Coin flip is not a fair way to desc. zvz especially at higher levels. He is underperforming from that standpoint, maybe its nerves, maybe he just has bad prep and needs a coach.

I feel like we will see interesting games from terrans in the Ro16. First off, "terrans" will probably only be Mind and Flash. Secondly, it's a stretch to call map imbalance against terran an advantage for Flash lol=) Watched his stream the other day and he definitely has problems with the maps. Saw him lose like 0-8 to stork on third world and transistor. He still has time to prepare though but it's looking grim. If anyone can do it, it's Flash though. Also I think people exaggerate when they claim SoulKey is the only one who can beat Flash. Lately, Hero has been doing a lot better against Flash than Soulkey and to be honest I think that it's going to be a protoss that knocks Flash out this time. Beating any of Rain, Stork, Snow, Best or Mini in a TvP on these maps is a feat of it's own.
