The build is nexus first. And because it's 11 nexus 11 forge, it gets cannons still (approximately, close positions needs some probe micro) on time to defend an overpool. But I'm still not sure whether the best course of action is. Making 6 lings would force him to pull 5+ probes, which amounts to around 30 seconds of mining lost (5*36minerals = 180 minerals lost in mining time). 4 zerglings would accomplish pretty much the same thing. He'll have to pull around 5 probes if he wants to be safe in my mind. 2 zerglings won't accomplish much I think. Will be difficult to kill any probes without losing the zerglings myself, I can't really focus the cannon since I don't have the DPS to take it down and he might not need to pull 5 to be safe. Making 3 drones would allow him to do whatever he wants, the build to me seems very strong economically and has tech out very soon, but it doesn't have the spare minerals to be aggressive with any zealots without delaying tech/eco. So the question is, what's the best for me? I think I must take advantage of the fact that he can't put up much pressure and I am completely allowed to drone. An overpool doesn't have a great economy so I should focus on improving it as fast as possible.

Pretty much every guide, including Liquipedia and Blizzard's own SC Compendium, list the blast radius for EMP as being 3-matrix... in other words, a 6x6 area of effect. But when I test it, it seems more like a 4x4 area of effect (2-matrix radius). Very consistently. What gives? Has anyone else tested this?

+ Show Spoiler + Here is the thread to that very useful tutorial series on mechanics by Scarbo. Scarbo's Tutorial Series So, I don't know how they did made it work out better in SC2, but like always: BW takes a little more effort on the mechanical side, but then it works, and that will be true for your opponents, too.

Hey Highgamer, you are one of the most helpful people on here. Thank you always for the best info. You should be a coach for the CPL.

Curious on what is the best way to get familiar with each match up The most intuitive way to learn all 3 races in my opinion is to focus on one race intensively (preferably zerg or terran, it will benefit your mechanics down the road). After you have learned 3 match-ups in depth, you can switch to another race and start with learning the opposite side of the match-up you are already familiar with. Then you can learn the additional match-ups of that race since you've become more familiar with it. Repeat the process for the last race. Finally, I think the most common way to remain at your skill level will be to play random (or roll a dice before playing). If you want start improving once more, I fear you will have to focus on one race at a time again.

If you check McaLauncher's shittyplugin there's an option called "fix lost keyboard input" that I believe does the same thing (i.e. fixes the mouse input canceling the keyboard input when pressed at same time). Or you could just practice with an army in single player to get the correct rhythm if you're a mechanics purist. That is kinda huge.is it still available and can it be used on fish? Sounds a bit controversial as well

With a little practice it's a minor issue that will cost you a game every... 100 games? or even less, even none in the long run? It's an indicator for unclean clicking actually, I would rather fix it over time by adjusting your clicking-precision. It's an issue now, and probably means that you do too much hectic 1a2a3a4a5a instead of controlled army movement. (that's exactly when I experience this issue, and I know that I'm too hectic in those moments...)
