In that case why would he leave his Chinese team? X-Team is pretty small I thinks, I guess he could have a much more interesting contract with bigger Chinese organizations since he would be the favourite going into 2017 wcs. Yes, X-Team is a small team; however, the organizer of X-Team, the Xu-Dong Huang (ColoUrDFiRsT), and Sun-Yi Feng, F91, are the actual governor of most Starcraft related games in China, like Kong-Fu cap. There is no reason to get them annoyed just for join another team in China, say iG. I think it's more likely for him to move to Europe or America. Otherwise maybe it's time for him to fulfill the military obligation. Thanks for the info

(Sorry my English is not so good) XiaoSe was so annoyed before Byun asked him about NSL because he had lost a night playing games, so he didn't think too much about what Byun thought. So as Byun, XiaoSe have disliked him for a period of time, but he didn't thought too much about why XiaoSe,disliked him. Well……Sum up a word, they didn't have enough communication.

So as Byun, XiaoSe have disliked him for a period of time, but he didn't thought too much about why XiaoSe,disliked him. Well……Sum up a word, they didn't have enough communication. It is more about the Douyu streaming contract. X-team cannot afford Byun from the very beginning, Xiaose and F91 managed to get a sponsorship from Douyu to support Byun. Byun was in Korea during the 2-3 month negotiation period. According to Xiaose, Byun had accepted the offer and agreed to sign the contract with Douyu at WCS Shanghai (Gold Series International). They thought the case is settled, but Byun asked for more money at the signing table, which hit both X-team and Douyu unprepared. Xiaose was unhappy about Byun and decided to cool him off, so he didn't invite Byun to the NSL, Byun was unhappy about no invitation and threatened to leave X-team. Xiaose has no reason to stop him from leaving so he agreed. I believe there must be some miscommunication involved, very possibly by translation between the languages. AFAIK, xiaose and Byun communicate with their broken English.

For foreigners, yes, Byun is more famous, by a large margin. But in the Chinese scene, no. 'those guys' are local heroes and have a larger fan-base than Byun in China. Moreover, X-team is a straight forward for-fun joke team that don't give a fuck about their results. They need memes and dramas more than an actual good player.

Don't think he'll be able to "don't want to play proleague STFU" if he joins a Kespa team. Neither will a team sign him up if he really doesn't want to play proleague.
