Proleague better not downgrade as well :/ lol just imagine how silly proleague would be if it was a bo3 team match. I guess you could field a shitload of 2 man teams though Omg don't give them ideas. Nah i just hope we have eight teams this year, less than that would already be a downgrade i think. That would suck -.- Well right now we're well into January and still no info on PL That's sad

I heard in December it was supposed to start in January, so we'll see. Keep in mind Proleague finished way later in 2015 than usual and 2 of their potential 8th team candidates just died on them. I'm willing to give them a bit more time. Not too much though

Yeah, last year I was more into SSL, it was just all around better. This year it's looking like it's going back to GSL being superior.

Finally, the first real day of Korean Starleague action of the year.

Nice banner ! Gogo SKT, don't fail like yesterday

I like how in the banner it looks like the guys are looking at each other. Except for HyuN and Dream, who couldn't bring themselves to care.

I haven't followed the pro scene in a long time. It looks like they extremely simplified the Code A / Code S format... so Code A is basically a prelim to Code S now? Didn't it used to be essentially a parallel league that ran at the same time as Code S, and then players moved up/down based on their performance in the previous season?

They use Code A as a prelim now to be in line with the WCS system.

Yeah they stopped that way pretty much when WCS system came into play 2 years ago. Now it is offline big ass crazy qualifiers > Code A Game = Win Code S Lose Code B. Then if u get Code S u go to Code A game if u go out in group stage and then Top 4 get seeded direct into Code S for following season.
HOWEVER it has changed again but the basis is still there just not sure if u get seeded into Code S and how Code A will work again in terms of numbers next season. Might be straight qualifier mess every season.

Code A is 48 players, so most likely last year's format

Afreeca really upping the production value, nice to see. They could have just continued the way GOM was going about it when they were on their death bed.

When did it go from Hot6ix to just Hot6?

Maybe they will change it up to a pure qualifier format due to how long between Code S we will get?
