Uh this is troublesome. I expected both Zerg players to win today based on skill level.

I learned so many timings and position a terran player can do. Koreans really know how to exploit the weaknesses of opponents race and meta game.

As a Zerg I fear to play ladder against terran now more. Some tank position they showed are really tough to beat. A little reminder of old Lost Temple in Wings of Liberty

I think best way to play against terran now is pushing with roach ravager timings, because they have bad defense currently. Terran players don't get attacked often so they did not gather enough experience to deal with it. Game 4 was very good example of what I mean.

(This is no balance whine my friends. Only looking at game what happened. Zerg now need to adept to nasty terran timings and prepare for future GSL with better skill and experience play )

PS: In game 5 ByuN vs Dream you see what happens when you DON'T go mutas hahaha. Drops drops drops drops drops. In europe roach ravager infestor might work, but not in korea

You expected hyun to beat dream? Really?

In my personal opinion I did expect HyuN to win yes. I watched some incredible matches of him lately that showed great control in both micro and macro. Today he was not so good especially in game 5

HyuN looked very bad micro wise vs PtitDrogo in Homestory cup tho, isn't he a one trick poney roach / allins abuser?

Like it's hard to gauge skill level...

There was one ZvT he played like god on earth. I don't remember it, but he played so perfectly like I haver seen in that match. He didn't lose no nothing and defend terran agression and super dominated game with smart choices and great control.

Dream was kinda mediocre while being in MVP but became kind of a monster terran after joining SKT and had a good 2015 year afaik, whereas HyuN was very scary in online cups (some king of the hill thingy?) so the series being close should not be surprising.

Problem is he doesn't look terribly great against top Koreans when he plays them. See the WCS Global Finals 2014, for example.

I think HyuN is good. He won versus jaedong twice in finals and Jaedong is my all time favorite player best ever

In my eyes he is far better than Dream. (that is also why tasteless, artosis and many people on here are talking about "upsets"). They expected him to win in all honest opinion.

When people are talking about upsets in the past 2 days of Korean SC2, they're probably not talking about HyuN losing to Dream, no. Considering Dream's 2015 was much better than HyuN's, at least it would surprise me. INnoVation and ByuL losing their matches was a much bigger upset. Tasteless and Artosis predicted Dream to win at first by the way and then changed their prediction after pretty much every map :S

Sad for HyuN, I think on a better day he could have made it. Now he's pretty much out of a job until season 2.

Dream was kinda mediocre while being in MVP but became kind of a monster terran after joining SKT and had a good 2015 year afaik, whereas HyuN was very scary in online cups (some king of the hill thingy?) so the series being close should not be surprising.

I would never underrate HyuN. He has very good results over the years

I don't know why but many people underrate him. If you compare him to Dream :

In my opinion HyuN looks a lot better, especially if looking at results

Pretty sure Wolf and Tasteless said Byun beating soO was an upset too.. I don't think Byun beating anyone atm could be considered an upset.

I mean they kinda justified it by saying that him being super good online doesn't have to translate to him performing as well offline. And soO is still soO so ByuN making it look that easy is not something that should have happened.

Well SoO loses sooner or later in the GSL so might as well give his shot to someone else haha.

ByuN is so good that even anxiety isn't enough to make him lose yet.
