It's a hard comparison to make, of course, and they were both written in the same vein, but Deadhouse Gates and Toll the Hounds were the only novels to ever make me cry. The final books of Wheel of Time made the entire journey worth it for me personally(although I loved every novel save one.) Then i think i'll go check it out because i loved the blackcompany series when they were the bad guys. Argh i really should go back to reading WoT, i want to know how it ends but i have avoided spoilers for like 7+ years now and never looked up anything after book 4

I can't guarantee that the series will be for you, it does take a lot of commitment - but the payoff was so immensely worth it for me that I'm always slightly confused when people think otherwise.

That ending, that god damn ending >< And then the second most lovable character for me in Bonehunters. I HATE YOU, Mr. Erikson! Also I haven't finished the last book, I still have some characters I care about and I am too much afraid of Greek drama ending(kill everyone).
