"A mistake was made early in on the show when the awards were presented for Best Adapted Screenplay to The Departed where the voice-over announcer (Gina Tuttle) incorrectly referred to it being based on a Japanese film (presumably it was incorrect in the text she was given to read). In fact, it was based on a Hong Kong film, Infernal Affairs. However, Martin Scorsese correctly referred to the Hong Kong film in his acceptance speech for his win for Best Director. Yet, Scorsese mis-pronounced Infernal Affairs director Andrew Lau's last name as "Law"."

The only korean movie I've seen is My Sassy Girl, and it was absolutely amazing (and I'm not usually a fan of the romantic comedy).

1. FLYING BOYS!

I love this movie
2. Once Upon a Time in High School Old movie, but the storyline is just really good hah a

Last summer at a film festival I saw this hilariously ridiculous Korean movie called Dasepo Naughty Girls. It had a bunch of random stories about students at a weird high school. Not my favorite Korean movie but it is the only one that I really like that hasn't been mentioned.

edit: I heard that My Sassy Girl is going to be remade into a Hollywood movie. How does everyone feel about this? I don't really like it because remakes are almost never as good as originals. The only thing that I like about the idea is that hottie Elisha Cuthbert is going to be in it.

lol hows that movie sad. .... ok i pity that fool, i mean isnt it that in korea that it is morally acceptable to beat ur wife? (i am not saying most of them do, but basically if u see how the guys mom was chasing him and beating him, the equivalent is usually acceptable way of treating ur wife) its hillarious how they changed it around and beat the guy.

my uncle dated a korean chick a decade ago said how the girls there treat you (if you are their bf/husband) like a king. UWHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!

I'll NEVER get what's so great about My Sassy Girl. That aggressive girl just freaked me out, it was boring in parts, and like a lot of Korean movies, it doesn't really have a point and drags. I've seen it twice but would still say it's completely average, and that coming from someone who actually enjoys romantic comedies quite a bit. Do you guys only like it because Jeon Ji Hyun is pretty?

My favourite Korean movie is A Tale of Two Sisters. Beautiful, creepy and actually keeps you guessing until the end. Also, finally a Korean movie in which every scene was important and had a justification to be in the movie (your average Korean movie could easily be trimmed down to 2/3 of its original length).

I'm not a huge fan of romantic comedies, but I really loved My Sassy Girl.. probably one of my favorite movies. I don't know.. it's just really touching and since it's based on a true story it's even better. Jeon Ji Hyun sure is pretty but I think it has little to do with it. The acting was great though by both of them , I really liked everything about that movie.
