Its such a shame, really, could've been a great domination story.

I think that Dream looks very good when he has to practice only one MU yeah. In GSL he got destroyed by the Zergs because he only practiced TvP (as evidenced by his humiliation of Rain and later of Super in NSSL), but then he showed incredible TvZ against Life, a level of TvZ that would have won him his GSL group for sure.

I agree. Although for winning against Solar scouting the in-base Nydus on Foxtrot would have probably been enough <_<.

Winning Blizzcon, GSL, NSSL and IEM in succession would have been unreal anyways. If he just wins either IEM or GSL it will still be Total Domination with NSSL 3rd-4th place. Not to mention that the only reason why he does not have an SPL (round1 ) title is Kespa's anit-Startale bias.

They specifically safed all their strategies in the Round Robin to have an easy finals as they knew that it would end like that. Because great Coaching.

Definitely. It speaks volumes that the guy can open the same way 7 games in a row, and Life didn't manage to really counter him. I also like the fact that Dream said in the interview beforehand that he prepared "multiple builds that Life would hate", while in actuality it was only one with very slight deviations. All in all he really seemed to have done his homework to always get ahead in the midgame. The same thing happened to Life when he lost to ForGG in Dreamhack - Life's style back then wasn't good against how ForGG plays, so ForGG was always ahead. I'm sure that if Dream and Life were to play again, and Dream would play the same way, that Life would be able to optimize his build against that like he did with ForGG. Today, Innovation didn't seem to counter Life's build per se, but he just played to his own strengths. Because that style isn't necessarily a hard-counter to Life's play, Life suddenly looked way better as he didn't have to deal with Banshee/Hellbat timings today, so he could show off his A-game. Of course, both series could've gone either way. I could've definitely seen Life 4-3'ing Dream and Innovation 3-2'ing Life instead. All in all, besides MMA vs. TY, this has been an extremely entertaining week of Starcraft. All PL matches were at least pretty good, we even had 3 ace matches, and we saw 5 great, pretty close BoX series.

I haven't seen him vs Inno yet but I presume it's the second super high level TvZ involving Life I get to watch in two days. Even if he doesn't advance any further, 2x Ro4 in Season 1 is a good starting point (and best result of anyone over both leagues). herO will be a tough opponent for sure Innovation vs Life was nowhere near super high level unfortunately. It was very very scrappy :/
