Well, even as a MMA fan it would be hard for MMA to surpass Mvp, since this is likely his last year as a progamer

Frankly, I've been pleasantly surprised by how well MMA has done in the past few months (2nd at Blizzcon, and Ro4 in GSL), and I'd be really surprised if he can win a few more Korean premiers.

Life could surpass Mvp by year end if he can keep up this form. Plus Life is young, and doesn't have any injuries, so he could still theoretically compete for a few more years.

I think Taeja has even less of a chance than MMA, since he has very few large tournament wins (GSLs, WCS, Blizzcons, etc.), and he's injured and on the cusp of retirement.

Maybe if someone like Innovation, Zest, herO or PartinG had a ridiculously good year or two, then maybe we could talk about them, but aside from PartinG these are all relatively new faces to the scene.

Irrelevant and misleading stat. Zest still doesn't belong anywhere near that list.

KeSPA Cup? All of his matches were PvPs. 4 PvPs for that 'premier' win.
GSL Global Championship? He was seeded in, didn't have to qualify. And played 4 matches total for that 'premier' win.
And the GSL he won? 16 Protoss, 3 Terran in GSL that season.

All during the only period where Protoss was indisputably overpowered. and PvP is his best matchup. Look at how he's done when Protoss isn't massively OP anymore; nothing. He loses to TANGTANG, DeParture, Creator, etc., and can't even make it into Code A. In fact he got first rounded in the qualifiers to get into Code A.

Mvp won a Premier in HotS as did MC and MC is still in Code S. Also it cannot be understated or undervalued how these three greats pushed the metagame forward for each of their own races as they won those early GSLs.
