more like harass that didn't accomplish much

This game was entirely decided on Dreams widow mines failing to hit targets in this game. No fancy pancy micro, just near luckbased Mine hits......

at this point people are going to be more surprised at Dream winning this than Solar reverse sweeping

Dream lost like 2 drop ships worth of marines this time from drops that did nothing.

On December 18 2014 19:59 xtorn wrote: so it was the lack of Dream's upgrades that won Solar the game? Dream had upgrades, they were just timed a little bit behind. And I'd say that was not the only thing that won Solar the game. Solar was able to get up to 4 bases without really taking any damage from anywhere, and from there, it's pretty tough for Terran without a 1-1 upgrade lead.
And yeah, the widow mines were pretty poor. Very few banelings got hit from them. This is one of the main reasons why good Terrans leave widow mines unburrowed until the banelings get into sight, and then insta-burrow them (with the upgrade). But widow mines can't reasonably be micro'd, so there's always a tad bit of randomness to it, and the AI is often messed up due to its target unit dying (I do believe it cancels its planned attack if you kill its targeted unit before the shot can go off)

a map were you can actually attack, more of those next season hopefully
