Short rules:
I'll keep this simple since we don't have to bother with most the shit other mafia games have to bother with.
- You have to post at least once every dayphase, because
- You have to vote every dayphase
- Blue bolded text like this is reserved for the host only, don't use it
- Don't edit your posts ever. Just post another one if you need to correct or add to something you said
- DO NOT talk about this game outside of the game thread. The only exceptions are the mafia team quicktopic, and the observer quicktopic, both of which I will provide.
- Voting is done in this thread by typing ##Vote: Alaric. If you unvote, the command is ##Unvote. The most important part are the two hashtags, since I'll be Ctrl-F'ing for them to do votes.
- The game will use plurality deadline lynch. The person with the most votes at the deadline is lynched. In case of a tie the one that had more votes earlier is lynched.
- ##Vote: No-lynch is allowed but remember that by using it you admit that you're a pussy.

Time Cycle:
The game will follow a 48 hour day/24 hour night cycle. In case I am not able to post around deadline, any votes after the 48 hour mark will not count and the game will be put on halt until the night post is up. Currently the deadline is 00:00 GMT (+00:00), but that is subject to change. Actions/votes will be accepted up to and including the posted time, but not after.

Setup
Since I don't yet know the final setup I'll just give a general list of possible roles below. Most of them are not going to be in the game.
3rd parties may exist or may not happen at all, dunno.
Town roles:
Vanilla Townie (VT)
Miller - shows up as mafia to (parity/) cop checks.
Innocent Child - Can, at night, PM the host to have their alignment and role mod-confirmed with the coming daypost.
Cop - Can check people's alignment at night
Parity Cop - Submits a single name every night. Starting from n2 will be returned whether his current check is of the same or a diffent alignment than the previous check. So you won't get anything back n1, your result on n4 compares the n4 target to the n3 target, etcetc.
Vigilante - Can shoot a guy at night to make them dead. One bullet only, no refunds unless you are prevented from shooting through a block.
Jailkeeper - At night, roleblocks people and makes them untargetable by any other actions.
Medic - At night, protect a dude from one death. (multiple "stacked" shots still kill through this) Cannot target the same person twice in a row.
Poisoner - You have one vial of poison and one vial of antidiote. At night you can feed either one of them to any one player, once per vial. Poison slowly kills a player, making him die a full cycle after being poisoned. Antidote cures a player of poisoning, both if applied during the night he gets poisoned and during the night he would die from poisoning.
Mafia roles:
Goon - Vanilla Scum
Godfather - Looks like town to cop checks, BUT HE REALLY ISN'T! HAHA!
Vigilante - Can shoot a guy at night to make them dead. One bullet only, no refunds unless you are prevented from shooting through a block.
Roleblocker - At night, target people to block them from using their role. Takes precedence over the jailkeeper's block (so if they block each other the roleblocker is not blocked).
Poisoner - You have one vial of poison and one vial of antidiote. At night you can feed either one of them to any one player, once per vial. Poison slowly kills a player, making him die a full cycle after being poisoned. Antidote cures a player of poisoning, both if applied during the night he gets poisoned and during the night he would die from poisoning.
Third Party roles:
Serial Poisoner - Can poison a person every night, making them die a full cycle after being poisoned. Immune to poison himself. Shows up as mafia to cop checks. Wins if he killed everybody else, which means he's either the last person alive or gets a default win if literally everybody in the game is dead, including himself.
Survivor - Wins if he is alive at the end of the game.
Other notes: People will be notified if they have been roleblocked. People will not be notified if they have been poisoned.
Mafia need to carry out their factional nightkills in person (aka they need to choose a/two member to do it). Mafia have at least 1 factional kill per night, more is possible depending on balance reason. I'll announce the final factional KP decision on game start. scummers can only carry out one factional kill per person per night, but they can use their own abilities in addition to that (which means a scum vig could kill two people in a single night, if one of the shots come from his pistol instead of two factional kills).

Seems fun enough, and I don't think I'll survive long. That edit rule will probably get me mod killed since I have this habit of using the edit button too much.

Not surviving long is a good thing if you play really well 
And as for editing yeah it takes some getting used to--just consider it a license to spam and shitpost rather than controlling yourself
