I'm on to you. On Topic: As somebody else important mentioned (I forget who), it essentially boiled down to "Our site wasn't growing as much as we want, so this is our chosen course of action to stimulate growth based on our beliefs as to why it hasn't been growing". Which is of course completely reasonable and as Nazgul said the people who complain are already regulars and unlikely to simply end their participation in a community whereas the people who benefit the most are the yet-to-be-users.

Fair points all around. But mainly the Bloodseeker one.

I'd be curious to hear a comparison of the success of LiquidDota vs LiquidHearth though, maybe after a few days?

I DID use the filters and my news page and stream list were completely Dota 2 related for a long time before this split. I already kind of felt as if I was on Liquiddota.com. Now the stream list is now even better, more focused on what I enjoy. Hopefully now the user population can increase a little bit due to this split (that is supposed to benefit the quieter, new users). Hopefully we'll get more in depth guides here. Hopefully we get those content creators that do amazing write ups like we had for Brood War back in the day (and still do have). We need those people to make the Dota content on this network be on par with the content created on teamliquid in the past. It hasn't really happened yet, and the staff are trying with this move to IMPROVE everyone's Dota experience. I, for one, have a lot of faith in the staff here to create an environment that fosters good content and interesting debate. I look forward to seeing where this goes! (I also want the forums to be strongly linked with the rest of the network!)

I'd made the suggestion in another thread on TL. But even only showing sections like General here on LD when logged in and adding those specific sections through filtering would be amazing. Newer users would never see them so they don't get daunted. Only those who specifically wanted to use LD and pull in certain TL forum sections would see them. It keeps the 2 sites separate while allowing the veteran users access to the threads and sections they've followed and contributed to on one site. Other than the fact that some of those major forum sections that made TL feel alive are missing I do like the look and feel of the site overall better than TL. The right sidebar is a massive upgrade, it's a little more clean and colorful looking here, the favorite team logos are cooler, etc. Just those missing forums make me cry. Edit: As I said before over on TL. I don't even know if this suggestion is even possible, you'd have to ask R1CH. But it's sort of a best of both worlds idea. Keeps things out of sight, out of mind for new visitors but gives us who have been here a while and miss TL threads the option of seeing them from 1 hub.

The site is nice and I like the side bars. You still have my Esports dollars.

The new site looks great! I'm really liking the team flares, and I can't wait to see TL's Dota site grow!
