TSC's parries were straightforward: parry twice quickly to parry the rose and the first attack, then follow the standard parry rythym. He just had to follow the rythym correctly (like in that famous Daigo vs Justin Wong video). Still very cool, though. I especially like how the Fukiage missed, then Hong (who must have been stunned at this point) messed up and did a fierce, which TSC also parried ^_^. Messatsu's (Urien's) parries were much more impressive because: a) he had to red-parry the first hit; and b) he had to parry the electric snake low, and you'll notice he had to input the first low parry between the super flash and the first hit of the super, which is at least as hard as red-parrying. Makeinu's (Q's) parries were also much more impressive, because he had to parry out-of-rythym and because he had to anticipate when Urien was going to attack. And what really amazes me is where one of his low-parries parried both the reflector and Urien's kick at the same time: I imagine most people would have tried to parry twice, not expecting both hits to be near-simultaneous, and the second parry input would have whiffed. I think he just guessed that he needed to parry only once and got lucky. It's not humanly possible parry light and (most) medium normals on reaction, so he had to guess ahead of time whether to parry down once or twice.

It looked like Remy either tried to do a special move and did it too late, or tried to parry the kick but pressed forward just barely too late. On a side note, I've never understood why people are so reluctant to parry Remy's LOVs (sonic booms) even when Remy is on the other side of the screen. Are they afraid he'll follow it up with that jump-kick special move? I'm surprised they don't just parry it as well. 'Course, I've never fought even a decent Remy before, so I wouldn't really know .

Ya, at mid range if you parry it he can either CBK or dash up throw. It's safer just to block LoV's at mid range against Remy. CBK is actually fairly safe when parried (as long as you aim for his shins) and it's pretty difficult to parry on reaction (although I think I've seen KO do it and then fuck up the Remy, but KO is crazy).

Wtf is that? With the CPS3 emulator it takes half a second and I'm already playing. Get the 'JAPAN NO CD' version. It will run immedaitely without any of that cd-rom loading stuff. The filename is 'sfiii3n.zip' . If you have the file but it won't show up in MAME, make sure MAME is displaying clones (it's a filter setting I think) because the JAPAN NO CD version is a clone of the USA one and it won't show up if you have clones hidden.

Either your connection is bad, his connection is bad, or one of yours' connection to the server was bad (or both). On September 15 2007 11:30 CharlieMurphy wrote: Hey jumping those things takes just as much skill, why take the risk? PS- 119 is out http://ddememame.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ all things being equal, projectiles should be parried for the meter increase they give. Random projectile throwing is seen to be roughly equal to both players b/c the opponent can parry (giving him meter) and the one who threw the projectile can usually spam a few attacks to get some meter as well.

Anyways here is a Funny video. and another video showcasing countering resurrection. They left out Remy though and I know you can demon flip and counter it too. PS- Since there are no REAL training combo videos for akuma on youtube I'm making some, so far I have like 10 basic combos. How do you setup camtasia to record sound from computer? And how can I edit in the button inputs that i'm pressing to go along with the video on the screen?

though you can do that if you press twice the numbers between F9-F12, i forgot which is which, one of them saves the actual gamestate, and one of them loads it back. if you press control + 1-6 , you can change the gameslots. so you can have max 6 saved game. you should go to 2 player mode and save gamestates you want to train. if you want to practice parrying, you should save the second bonus stage of the arcade mode. hope this helps.
