Interestingly enough the guy that wrecks EU soloQ at the moment with Mid Lulu is is #1 challenger SQA (rumored to be incarnation) runs a normal AP setup.

Looking at more challenger mids nukeduck interestingly runs the same set-up on mid lulu except with one of the CDR quints replaced by a movement quint There seems to be some split, I can't tell exactly but febiven seems to run the SQA set up. The page doesn't say lulu but it looks exactly like his.

Playing sona/janna/soraka and even lulu is just too risky now and just isn't rewarding, too hard to make plays and too easy to lose laning phase and die at all phases of the game (look migxa's last game on sona ... he couldn't do anything). It sucks they didn't push the doran change in this patch, we will have to wait longer and continue seeing thresh/leona every game. Right now there is no reason to not pick leona or thresh, they are better at all stages of the game. Thresh has been broken since release and leona has always had an insane mid/late game, the reason she wasn't perma picked was that her laning phase was quite bad because she would get poked and was 100% allin when she went in. Thanks to doran shield and tank masteries she can absorb poke and win trades easily now. I doubt the change to perseverance will change anything. Leona is the only commonly picked melee support, alistar is also played some though. but alistar certainly not because of his strong laning phase and leona not really a laning god either

Stick with barrier, especially at your level.

Stick with barrier, especially at your level. Unless there is some super-ridic critical CC you have to Cleanse off, Barrier is much more useful. No Barrier means you're going to get all-in'd really quickly and you're probably going to lose it. There's also a fine line between a random CC being thrown at you and what's "Cleanse this ASAP or you die". And they can always burn the Cleanse and then do it again. And then after laning phase you'll get constantly duelled urgh. It's much better to learn how to dodge CC and how to position in lane than relying on Cleanse as a crutch.

All players will now have an equal (random) chance of being first pick For players in a duo, if either player is chosen as first pick, the team captain will be assigned first pick and the other member of the duo will get whatever position the captain received from the randomizer Terrible. Only reason they do that is because they try to deny players as much information about their MMR as possible. Because obviously we have to be sheltered from the harsh truth. I welcome the change so now when I duo queue with my brother one of us won't always be forced into last pick.

If you already know all this stuff, then you may just be noticing that ADC's can't carry as hard as they could last season. I actually have an easier time winning games as Nami and Lulu than I do as ADC, even when I'm fed to high heaven. I also think there's been a shift in ADC tiers. I carried into high silver as Cait last season after giving up on MF, but since the start of season 4 Cait hasn't been so easy to carry with, while my MF stats have actually improved. Maybe you need to learn some new ADCs?

Compare a silver player picking your main role, forcing you onto a sub par role then failing horribly, vs a silver player filling the role noone else wanted, and failing horribly. Maybe you need to learn some new ADCs? Definitely been noticing this too, Cait was my staple last season, but this season I'm doing way better on things like lucian and vayne, (even though my vayne mechanics are terrible.) It just feels like auto attacks don't really do anything in the midgame, when you'll have ie/bt and their mundo/renek/olaf/shyv has randuims or sunfire, and you need like 80 autos to even dent him. Much easier to go with either the pseudo casters to 'assassinate' people (lucian etc), or the super hard carries to just roll everyone after 2-3 items (jinx, vayne) Also with there being so many fewer assassins, just having a reliable, fast (instant dash, not 90 caliber net crap) escape to dodge their dashes/cc skillshots makes you basically immortal, as you can just kite everyone now. They generally won't have a zed/fizz/akali who don't care if you dash or not.

I'm in the camp that says DuoQ in "Solo" Queue is retarded in the first place, and even more retarded when the skill gap between the two players is so large it ruins the experience of the game for the entire team. Should be a Tier-Limit to DuoQ to stop large skill gaps between the players in the game. Anything higher than Silver 5 should NOT be allowed to duoQ with a Bronze 5 scrubby, for instance.
