got home today and my front door was wide open - i guess i didn't close it properly when I left this morning, and it's windy as a motherfucker outside, so it blew open.
I have four pets, so naturally I fucking panicked and ran around the house searching for them. Both dogs greeted me at the door, because they are dogs. okay, two down, check. One cat was just sitting on the porch outside the door, okay, no problem. Three down. One cat, who goes by the name Tucker, is a gigantic fat maine coone, weighing in at just over 35 pounds in all his tubby, orange glory. He was the only one missing.
I fucking love Tucker because he's a total suck. He'd be helpless out in the wild. Fortunately I found him passed out (and snoring!) under my bed.

You are one lucky bastard! I have 2 labs and I foster sometimes and a losing a dog if fucking scary! Glad everything turned out alright. I'd be worried about robbery too.

Similar thing happened to me, my sister left for work one morning and left the door open because it wasn't latching properly and I didn't notice for a few hours. When I noticed, our cat was sitting about 5 inches out the door in the sun, probably too afraid to venture out into the world.
