got home today and my front door was wide open - i guess i didn't close it properly when I left this morning, and it's windy as a motherfucker outside, so it blew open.
I have four pets, so naturally I fucking panicked and ran around the house searching for them. Both dogs greeted me at the door, because they are dogs. okay, two down, check. One cat was just sitting on the porch outside the door, okay, no problem. Three down. One cat, who goes by the name Tucker, is a gigantic fat maine coone, weighing in at just over 35 pounds in all his tubby, orange glory. He was the only one missing.
I fucking love Tucker because he's a total suck. He'd be helpless out in the wild. Fortunately I found him passed out (and snoring!) under my bed.

You are one lucky bastard! I have 2 labs and I foster sometimes and a losing a dog if fucking scary! Glad everything turned out alright. I'd be worried about robbery too.

Similar thing happened to me, my sister left for work one morning and left the door open because it wasn't latching properly and I didn't notice for a few hours. When I noticed, our cat was sitting about 5 inches out the door in the sun, probably too afraid to venture out into the world.

lol 35 pound cat holy shit ^^ I always wondered what its like to have a maine coon. Like, dont they pretty much crush you when they hop on your lap and start kneading? Or what happens when they scratch at the couch/leather chair? Its bad enough with regularly sized cats, but I imagine with a maine coone your couch is torn to shreds within seconds ^^

Well most likely you wont be able to afford that kind of cat when you first move out from home.. Not only are maine coones quite pricey to buy in the first place, but even more so the amount of food that cat devours each month should rival your own food expenses!

but you see the size of those paws? he's a monster, that's why he's 35 pounds. he's actually very very strong and pretty agile, very much a cat despite his gigantic size. he sure loves to sleep, but he's not some sloth pile

Yeah Maine Coon Cats are freaking massive. 35 pounds isn't even the biggest I've heard of with out getting all that fat. Those cats chase dogs, and not just little ones.

I once knew an older man name Ralph who had a really fat cat. When it was sitting on the ground, all of the fat would spread out and cover its feet, so that it just looked like a blob with a head. It was so loveable!
One day I saw it hiding under the bed, and I thought it would be funny to poke its fat with a stick. It growled at me after the second poke, and I said 'okay sorry', but then it starting coming out and I got scared, so I starting walking away. Then I saw it running at me so I bolted for the door! I heard it just behind me the whole way, but once I was outside I looked back and I saw it just staring at me from behind the screen door . It was a funny experience in retrospect. I love that fat cat .

i saw a coon walking around nyc once. it was insane. easily the size of a small dog
