I'll write a short and sweet blog of my history with Teamliquid over the past 9 years. Maybe I'll elaborate more on it when I can be bothered.
My first adventures to Team Liquid was around mid 2003, due to a guy I knew from playing Brood War on the old AUS-1 (and later, moved to the StarGate server), SpuniasauR. He had a link to Team Liquid in his profile and I would browse the site frequently. However, I didn't join until early 2004 (on my other account, which I lost the password for). I started posting more once Boxer failed to qualify for the OSL for the first time in history (Gillette). It would also be the time I would start to involve myself into the Korean BW scene - fascinated by how a simple game could have captivated the minds and hearts of a nation.
It was around this time I would attempt to participate in the community, whether it would be live reports or RWA's (which if you are desperate, are somewhere on the internet). Despite being kollin's age at the time, I was really passionate about the game, and playing/watching filled up most of my leisure time in early high school (along with CS:S and WoW).
I decided to take time away from Team Liquid at the beginning of 2006 to focus on playing World of Warcraft with my brother. However, after a year or so playing, I decided to come back around the time the first half of the 2007 Proleague season starting up. It was also a time where I noticed a lack of coverage in regards to Proleague and the minor leagues. Manifesto7, who helped host my RWA's on his website back in the day, was one of the writers, so I asked him whether I could help out with the coverage and I was bought on to staff. While my writing was god awful (have a look for yourself if you can be bothered), I was excited that I was part of a team that I admired so much through out my childhood.
I guess you could say that's how I got into the staff in a nutshell. Throughout the previous 6 years, I've hopped through many roles, from writer, calendar entries, TLPD, translation team and now I'm excited to be helping out NeoIllusions and his crew with the sites small, but awesome Korean League of Legends coverage. I truly feel that with Blizzard's failure with the promotion SC2 in Korea and Riot's ingenious in taking advantage of this error has allowed LoL to become the next Brood War - and hopefully I'll be able to follow it for the years to come.
I suppose I'll let people ask (serious) questions in here, and I'll try my best to answer them.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Gratz on 40k :D
Do you ever watch BW nowadays? The Korean amateur scene?
Do you really think LoL can be as good as BW for a spectator?

I'm not a fan of how Sonic presents his tournaments so I don't watch religiously, but I catch the finals if they don't conflict with anything.

It's good because like Brood War, EVERYONE in Korea plays it. However, one problem that it has is that if you don't play the game, it will be difficult to follow the game as a spectator. That being said, IMO, it's more easier to watch then say Dota2.
