Would love a charity marathon, too. But i dislike the interact-with-players-threw-donations idea. I think it would take away abit of the mystic world Neal created :D . keep up the good work

They'd be like any other guest character. I don't know if it's something that would actually work though. What if we set the bar too low and we have 10 people that get to play characters? What if they're really annoying? This is something I'm pretty unsure about, and I don't think is likely to happen, but I thought I'd put out there anyway.

Anything in 2nd ed has to be simpler than the rules for the bard in 1st ed.

All I remember about bards, is that they were wayyyy underpowered and, depending on the player, either amazing (from a roleplay point of view) or annoying as hell. ^^

I'm not really experienced with P&P games but I liked Geoff and JP very much, the DM seems decent, Ryan ok and Genevieve not-so-good. Both elves need to bring their character more into the game. But towards the end, it was the opposite that happened. They don't necessarily have to be so active in the group, but at least then they should talk to/interact with each other more often. Abigail starts to be way more fun in the next week when they're more in town (she's a thief, remember, not much to do while fighting goblins), I really enjoyed it; can't name specifics because of spoilers. xD And you can't expect they'll get everything super right off the bat, sometimes they need time to build up something. Also, they play elves, they're not exactly known as an entertaining and talkative bunch. I think they're doing great.

They weren't fighting Goblins all the time though, so there was space to develop their characters. And it also didn't seem like they were building up something. The last part of what I wrote before addresses that. Both elves interacting with each other is fine, like right in the beginning in the bar and when they killed the first few goblins. Should have continued like that. Anyway, gonna see how they do in week 2.

I feel like Neal (Dungeon Master) is doing a great job and is excellent choice for a DM. Geoff funny as always and really fits in. JP being the drinking one is obviously a good choice. I gotta agree with Lucumo though, elves need to step it up a bit. Ryan has been okay so far, thinking a little what to do next and so on, which is good, but Genevieve has been disappointing. I feel like she needs to do more than just yell "whats-up", shooting arrows or walk to a healer once. She has had free hands to do whatever she pleases, but hasn't done much. But anyway, as i said already, enjoying it a lot and I can't wait for week 3.

This is exactly the reason why almost all roleplaying groups have a "no spectators" rule. It is so much easier to judge stuff when you are not involved, and everyone looks kind of silly playing rpgs from the outside. Though i guess this is not just a group playing an RPG, but also an entertainment product.

I feel like week one was the "Tudagub Episode" with JP + Show Spoiler + smashing goblins and magical orbs obliterating the giant ogre and fighting/interrogating/attempting to seduce the sexy elf assassin. I'm excited to see what happens tonight!
