Annoucements: 10/06/12, 11:49 AM PST: I apologize for my inactivity as I had a busy week this week (two projects and three midterms!) I will be reviewing applications today and will resume doing coaching as soon as I can schedule with my next student. Keep in mind that I promised that I will be doing this for 3 more weeks, guaranteed! Also, I do have a YouTube partnership, so instead of having the VOD's on my Twitch account, I will be putting them on that. More information coming soon! Thanks for following my coaching series, I hope to be on air again soon!
VODS: + Show Spoiler +
Introduction: Hello everyone, my name is SpiKy, and I've had this idea for a while now so I wanted to first post it here in /r/Starcraft to hear from you guys if this is a good idea or not. I'm currently a top 200 Master League player (region rank, according to SC2ranks.com) hoping to achieve Grandmaster in the future. I've been playing Starcraft 2 for about a year and a half now (more or less) and I really enjoy coaching people, whether it's in SC2 or in other things.
Here's a link of the testimonials I received from previous students. All of them were positive reviews (either being truthful or being nice) and I believe that all of them were able to take a lot out of my lessons.
Although GM is a goal that I've been playing every day to hopefully achieve, I also hope to be able to help anyone out there who's willing to put the time and effort to listen to my analysis and apply it to their gameplay.
The Idea: Players can apply to get coached below in the comments section (more explained later) and if you happen to be chosen, I will coach you for an entire week, one player/week, one (maybe two) hour(s) a day, picking apart every aspect of your gameplay and trying to find where improvement is required. If you do not have a specific format you would like the week to be fixed in, a default format could be each matchup for 2 days and the last day summing up everything/matchup of your choice. You'll be coached much like coaching is done today: you playing while I watch you and discussing strategy/analyzing before and after. There are two approaches I can take while we're in game:
1. I prompt you to do things with the hopes of you being pushed out of your comfort zone and playing/thinking faster as the game progresses. 2. I point things here and there and save the analysis until after the game has taken place.
Either way, I'm comfortable with both approaches, however I do suggest option 1 as that's going to help increase your speed and hopefully raise your overall APM/eAPM.
The only condition I would have, though, if you were to participate in such dedicated coaching, you would be to play at least 10 games of the matchup (although, this can be discussed) specified in between sessions to encourage practice and actually apply the things we talked about in the lesson. I strongly believe that coaching should never replace practice and that coaching is more of a pointer into the right direction when it comes to practicing. Simply talking about strategy and theorycrafting is not going to help you achieve your goals. It's practice that gets you there.
I will be taking notes via Word or Notepad to make analysis easier and for you to have some ideas/concepts to think about when it is time to practice. Again, this is dedicated coaching, which means that it has to be from both parties.
Lessons will be streamed the entire week (Click here for my stream) so others can also benefit from the lessons.
Requirements: I still haven't completely decided on the details of the people I want to coach, but for right now, I will only be accepting players of Gold-level skill and above. I feel that anything below this is due to poor macro and less strategy. Gold league (and maybe platinum league) could definitely be argued, but for right now this is what I've decided. I can only coach on the NA server. If you're interested, post the following information in the comments below:
Battle.net Name (include character code): League: Times available for coaching: Your goals in SC2:
Conclusion: I think I pretty much summed up my idea in the above text. Please comment below with any questions, comments, or concerns of any kind. If you want to tell me how stupid this idea is, go right ahead. I'm open to any kind of feedback you guys have. Thanks for reading, I hope to hear from you soon!

Sorry, but I don't even consider myself qualified to coach Protosses. Only taking Zergs atm, sorry.

In that case I would be willing to play against people you get, with your input about what to do (their problem area).

Battle.net Name (include character code): LGHiaTa.272 League: Masters Times available for coaching: I'll be available every night for at least two hours. I don't have exact times as my work schedule fluctuates. Your goals in SC2: I want to improve in every match up and motivate my self to stay focused and play more games =))

Battle.net Name (include character code): Salivanth.254 League: Gold Times available for coaching: 03:00 - 13:00 GMT+0, all days. I can go a bit earlier or a bit later if I adjust my sleep schedule a little. Your goals in SC2: I'd like to get to Masters using solid macro play. For now, I'd settle for improving my abysmal mid-late game (My early game macro is probably Diamond-class, I'm almost always massively ahead after the first eight minutes, but I lose that advantage later.) and learning to control Infestors. Right now they're just bloated expensive bags of crap when I control them, so I don't even bother to get them. Instead I use Brood/Corruptor with Roach/Ling or Ling/Bling as my end-game composition. My late-game is by far my largest weakness, especially in ZvT. I find it almost impossible to win a late-game ZvT unless it's a game that my opponent should have gg'd out of 10 minutes ago, and even then it's a long, grinding struggle.
I can definitely play at least 10 games a day for a week. I often play 10 games in a day without outside prompting or any obligation to do so. (The reason I'm Gold despite this is that I race-switched from Protoss, and things seem to come up way too often that cause me to lose access to SC2 for weeks on end, turning my mechanics to crap.)
EDIT: Re-read your OP, it says 10 games per day OF THE SPECIFIC MATCHUP. That could be a problem. Unless you have practice partners who would help me, that would require me to play ~30 games of ladder a day, which I doubt I have the discipline for. Thanks anyway, I hope whoever gets your coaching benefits immensely!

I am a Diamond Zerg who was lucky enough to get picked for the week of coaching and I must say I enjoyed it and it helped a lot. I have a much better understanding of each match up, when to drone, when to tech, when to scout and gas timings that aid the end goal of my build. I feel like my play is stronger all around, but lets get into a little more detail. My hotkeys are better, my builds are cleaner, I understand my opponents timings as well as my own timings much better and I have better overlord spread and general map vision. Now I haven't perfected any of the things I've listed above by any means, but throughout this week these things have been pointed out to me and I've been making an effort to improve each aspect. While I knew some of these were problems already, I didn't realize how important they were and what I gained from doing them. He took detailed notes of each game, each session and sent me the file afterwords. This is immensely helpful and I love it. Also with it being streamed there are now vods that I can reference. SpiKy himself has a very good understanding of the game and can point out major holes in your play, tell you why you are worse off for them and how to improve them. Very mannered and professional. I could go on, but I'll wrap it up. The lessons were very helpful, I now have a lot of homework and I know if I can work out those kinks I'll be Masters in no time. Thanks again SpiKy!
