One-week coaching testimonials:
+ Show Spoiler +

Hreidmar:
I am a Diamond Zerg who was lucky enough to get picked for the week of coaching and I must say I enjoyed it and it helped a lot. I have a much better understanding of each match up, when to drone, when to tech, when to scout and gas timings that aid the end goal of my build. I feel like my play is stronger all around, but lets get into a little more detail. My hotkeys are better, my builds are cleaner, I understand my opponents timings as well as my own timings much better and I have better overlord spread and general map vision. Now I haven't perfected any of the things I've listed above by any means, but throughout this week these things have been pointed out to me and I've been making an effort to improve each aspect. While I knew some of these were problems already, I didn't realize how important they were and what I gained from doing them. He took detailed notes of each game, each session and sent me the file afterwords. This is immensely helpful and I love it. Also with it being streamed there are now vods that I can reference. SpiKy himself has a very good understanding of the game and can point out major holes in your play, tell you why you are worse off for them and how to improve them. Very mannered and professional. I could go on, but I'll wrap it up. The lessons were very helpful, I now have a lot of homework and I know if I can work out those kinks I'll be Masters in no time. Thanks again SpiKy!

SpiKy's coaching is clear and concise, but most importantly, the reasoning behind his advice is always explained. I've had a few coaches, but SpiKy has been the best! 5/5, highly recommended!

doctoroak
Just had a lesson with SpiKy here. He's a really friendly guy and pretty knowledgeable about his matchups. Was pretty confortable talking with him. My TvZ knowledge has improved quite a bit i feel and im thankful for that get him while hes free!

Epoch
Just got done a session with Spiky. I'm trying to break into master league as zerg. He found a practice partner for me and coached me while I played some games and although I lost the first 3 finally at the 4th game I made some progress and won

After the hour I can say I will be taking away some positives that will help me improve my game without a doubt.

Thanks again Spiky. =)

Okeydoke
I'm a gold level player and I had a lesson with Spiky today. He watched as I played a couple games. I thought that he gave very detailed, actionable advice that I've already been able to put to use. He seems like a smart, articulate guy that enjoys helping people improve.

Evileye
Incredible coach, very good to learn from if your Bronze+ and up(im bronze...lol) very instructive and full of helpful tips.
5/5
Thanks for the recent lesson

pabs0622
Had a lesson with Spiky today and I can tell that he knows a lot about the game. I am really happy that I asked him to coach me because it was really worth it. Great coach

HTODethklok
Just finished up a lesson with Spikey and in the past ive had lessons from Mr.Bitter and VVVTitan so I must say his coaching is really on par with a higher level player. I needed help in ZvT and he helped me realize a lot of glaring mistakes in my play (like the importance of really good creep spread) while giving me an over all much better game plan for the early mid and late game no matter which tech paths I decide to go down.

Boducan

Just had a lesson from Spikey and I say its was pretty good. He's very friendly and easy to talk to and his style is on par with some of the more well known players.

Take the lessons now while its free!

Skye94
SpiKy's coaching was exactly what I needed. His knowledge of the game and it's mechanics meshed well with his easy to understand explainations, especially since I'm bronze. He watched me play and commentated on my gameplay, and answered every question I had. I definitely came away with a better understanding of zerg mechanics and fundamentals. Thanks a ton for your time.

Rating: 5/5

illiterati
I had a lesson with SpiKy today, and it was fantastic. He explained everything thoroughly and in detail (to a degree even I could understand). He was also very receptive to any troubles I was having and helped me work on them specifically. He watched me play some games and also helped me through a few games. I would recommend his coaching to anyone trying to learn the game more in-depth or someone trying to break through to that next level. After this lesson I have a much better understanding of how to play Zerg and a better insight into each matchup. Can not recommend highly enough.

kalfar
I had a lesson with Spiky, He broke down his thought process so I picked up alot of timings and such aswell as general matchup help, He adapted well and took the game at my pace which was a Great thing to see, I would happily see him again!

Euroblast
I just recently had a session with Mr. Robert(aka SpiKey) and i have to say this guy is flawless. He has a brain that works as fast as his mouth and that is saying something! His words and intentions were always clear and understandable and i believe that a player of any skill level could benefit from a personal session with Spikey. Not only does he have a wealth of knowledge of the game but he is also adept at spotting the little flaws in our play that we overlook game after game. I would and shall recommend him to friends!

Uratashi
Fantastic job, clear reasoning behind everything. Easy to understand, and is very understanding. He will explain things in general and in specifics. Thank you!

Anoint

SpiKy is an extremely good coach with a very extensive knowledge to starcraft and game mechanics. I was having a huge problem with ZvT (about a 20% winrate :'( ). After having only an hour long session with him he helped me out TREMENDOUSLY with what I was doing wrong, what I needed to be doing whether it may be micro, macro, timing, engagements. He is also extremely well mannered, like if he asked me to do something and I failed to do it, he wouldn't get all pissy like some coaches would and would consistently be saying "good job" when doing little things, like preventing a drop, which may not even seem like a lot, but it makes the session much much more enjoyable.

5/5 and I really hope to do future sessions with you :D

Jimbooo
SpiKy is a very good coach and I feel like I gained a lot of knowledge for only an hour of coaching. He is very clear and shows you how to improve in a very "to-the-point" manner. Very easy to understand what he is trying to say to you and what your doing wrong.

5/5 this guys is awesome and I would recommend him to anyone :D

RedDragon571
Spiky helped me catch up on the meta game. He helped me find weaknesses is in play in a way only a good coach can. He was patient, willing to talk over the matchups and was never impatient or annoyed despite my weak attempts to follow his instructions while playing. I have stuff to work on for weeks and I feel my Z v t is solid enough to make it back into masters.

NachiMe
+1 super great coach made me realize I don't drone at all >.> and yea just super great tips, and he's definitely got the voice to be a coach.

Snif and Gyalgatine
Very informative, knowledgeable, professional, and talkative. You explained it very well and clear. However I was a bit intimidated at times (because of the professionalism). Overall great coaching. Thanks so much!

Soleone
Just one hour with SpiKy was already amazing, very professional! I'm a Gold player and he showed me so many mistakes in my play that are actually very easy to fix. This one hour was more effective to my overall play than 20 hours of my own ladder training. To top it all off I managed to defeat a high masters Zerg today in the After Hours Gaming League, and I think SpiKy had a big part in that! 5/5 would hire again (and probably will at some point)!

Magictank
I just had coaching with Spiky and it was really great. He is very knowledgeable about the game, gives you a lot of information and is very friendly. I feel more confident in my play now and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

AgAu
I had one of Spiky's lessons last night and I want everyone to know I was impressed. He continued to communicate with me during the practice matches, and was constantly giving feedback/criticism. Spiky was extremely knowledgeable. He was never condescending. The greatest part about his lessons is he made the environment comfortable. I was able to ask questions, and felt at ease answering the questions he was constantly asking mid match. The only thing I wasn't sure of was if he was trolling me or not. I heard him say "HOkay" a bunch. Maybe this is how he says "ok", but I couldn't be sure. Either way, watching back my stream it was quite funny. Spiky is a great coach, and if he charges in the future I will gladly pay for some lessons from him. 5/5 for Spiky!

Owls
Spiky is a great coach, easy to understand, knows what he is talking about and explains it all so you don't just sit there not knowing why you just did something. He is very attentive while coaching and offers a lot of helpful advice here and there.
5/5 for your coaching and hope you continue to coach

Shadowbolt
Just got done with a lesson. I'm top silver zerg and he really helped me understand the importance of a few key elements.
He went over the replays with me and was good at understanding the game from a lower level of play. Overall, he's a great coach and I highly recommend him.

I think that if you guys are in Masters I wouldn't be as an effective coach as someone that's like at the top of Master league or in Grandmaster league. But I'd be willing to practice the ZvZ matchups, anyways. Up to you guys. My ZvP is pretty good, so if you guys are still interested, let me know on Skype.

As for prowala, I sent you a tell on Bnet, I don't know if you got it. But message me when you get the chance.

Thanks for the replies!

Im probably going to get flamed here but im honestly baffled that random master players are offering coaching for money. I have no problem when its for free but I can see the OP is eventually going to start charging money for coaching.

Last seaosn was my first season of SC2 and I reached number 3 in my master league (Im an ex-broodwar player) and I find it funny how basically all master players not in top 8 have no idea wtf they are doing. Then I go on teamliquid and see these same people coaching. I have no problem when the coaching is free and if its a master player coaching a silver/gold player but when I see master players (especially masters players not in top 8) coaching for money it gives me a huge face palm moment.

My Feedback: Obviously knows a lot about the game, very informational, reminded me of my big brother looking over my shoulder while playing but is very flexible with the way you want him to teach you.
