Pretty please be active. The game is as fun as the effort you put in! BlazingHand is coaching town. If you have any questions on how to play the game, no matter how silly they might seem, he is uber-friendly and happy to help. He just loves to be PMed by you guys! Day 1 Kinda looks like a cowboy I guess. The air of the saloon was filled with its customary smoke. The beer was flowing, the music was loud and everyone was having a good time. mkfuba strode through the doors with a cocky stride and tipped his cowboy hat to his friends. "Howdy, cowboy" growled the bartender, stereotypically. "What y'all be havin'?" Before mkfuba could answer, gunshots were heard from outside. Everyone rushed out to see what the deuce was going on. The usually sleepy town of Liquidia had exploded with action. The air was thick with dust and there were horses galloping everywhere. Shots were ringing out and people were diving for cover. The Bel Monte posse had been making its moves on Liquidia for a long time. But the Sherriff and his deputy had kept the town safe... up till now. GMarshal stood tall amongst the carnage, with bodies strewn on the ground around him. His face dripped with blood and sweat. After a long fight, finally he stood alone. A man on horseback sauntered over slowly. "Your pathetic little town is mine, Marshal" he spat. "Over my dead body" "Gladly, sherriff," said the man on horseback. With the quickest draw of a gun anyone in Liquidia had ever seen, the man on horseback put a bullet through GMarshal's chest and laughed. GMarshal collapsed to the ground, one hand clutching at his heart. BloodyC0bbler turned his horse around and, at leisure, made his way towards the outskirts of town. But there was one more shot, and he collapsed off his horse. Hands shaking, GMarshal had made his last stand against the intruding villains, and collapsed on the ground, a pool of blood gathering around him. The rest of town looked on, shocked and appalled. Their town was no longer safe with the sherriff gone. It remained for town to weed out the infiltrators of the Bel Monte crowd. Qatol, Deputy Sherriff died a noble death in the fight! GMarshal, Sherriff, was murdered in cold blood! BloodyC0bbler, leader of the Bel Monte posse was felled at the last! Day 1 has started. You have 48 hours to vote for the lynch! | ||

Imagine how scared of posting you would be if you'd signed up for your first game and rolled Mafia. Your posts would be short, infrequent, and not hold any information that disagrees with the general direction so as not to stand out. | ||

I'm still really mad at Hapa for essentially winning on luck in XXIII. Had GK actually spoken up in the game, Hapa wouldn't have had the GK lynch to work off of and we scum could have safely NK'd him without worrying about a medic save. Howdy town. Let's kick some scum ass. A few policy notes:

If there isn't an SK, then this line of discussion is a complete waste of time and we would be doing the mafia's job for them, which is why I asked if anyone has experience in games with an SK so that we all can get a better idea of what the risk/reward anaylsis should be on determining whether or not and when to focus on a potential SK. Concerning shady sand's post, this is my first game so I have no previous history to reference. | ||

Anyway... Hi everyone! This is my second (and a half?) game of TL mafia, and I'm excited to get started! I'd like to start with some policy discussion, since I don't know what else to discuss at this point. I've come around in my thinking since XXIII, and am willing to consider lurker lynches. I wouldn't suggest lynching someone completely without suspicion (even GK in XXIII was a stretch for me, though I did vote to avoid a no-lynch), but the threat of lynching based on inactivity should motivate everyone to be active. If two players are equally suspicious, and only one is lurking, I'd probably go with the lurker. Completely new players, please read the guides and be sure to understand the capabilities of all of the roles. I was excited to get into this game because of all the role possibilities. It has the potential to be much more complex than what I've experienced, and I'm looking forward to it. | ||
