It's not a soft counter because 2nex is ahead economically without suffering much in the tech department, and Terran can't even harass with vults early. It's closer to even, because while Terran will get the expansion up and running slightly later, T benefits from 2base play more than Protoss.
14CC would be more of a soft counter to 12nex, because they are in similar positions but Terran is poised to capitalize more off the trade without offering a window to punish. 1-rax expand is just exponentially safer and slightly more versatile than 14CC and is a great opening on most macro maps, so it's becoming standard.

Sorry for the necrobump but I do have a serious and relevant question.
All these links are broken now. I have been able to find most of his FPVods on youtube, but I haven't been able to find several that I really wanted to watch. I also wanted to look through the replays that were posted. Does anyone have copies of these lounging on their hard drive? Even though this is years old it's still the best source of terran training out there and I'd really like to be able to use all of it.

Last time I talked with him was in Sept of last year. He said he was going to university 9 am to 8 pm studying arcitecture. But I think with the fading scene of BW, he perhaps lost interest?
edit: But even giong further back he had mentioned to me that he was going to be mostly inactive for a long time due to being away from home and busy with life.

While specifically focused on the recent Flash/Fantasy games and the most recent maps, this can actually be used as a really good TvT guide:

The map analysis is especially good, it really taught me how to look at maps in TvT. The only thing lacking is specific build orders.
