I think things you can see yourself buying make bad presents. Also things which require a commitment from the reciever, such as a novel (wow thanks, I guess I will read this for 8 hours and think of you..) or a ticket to an amusement park (wow I guess I have plans that day now...). I wouldn't buy him a video game either... If you wanna play a game, you're probably gonna buy it yourself. Other option is something entirely practical, but quality, if he is hard on cash. Nice tools or a good set of pots. Those improve quality of life a lot and usually make you feel genuinely grateful. | ||
