When is the next game/series for the SPL? Is it today?
Yeah, in 2 hours time. That's pretty quick, considering the long marathon was just yesterday.

It was that he played the least sloppy. His storms were on point, but seeing as he had been training SC2 long before the others it was a poor showing. They all really need to train with SC2 teams if we want to see top level play out of them this year.

The best reason why can be explained through this analogy. Proleague SC2 is like Olympic wrestling. Very technical, but not very flashy. The Brood War players obviously have immaculate mechanics and micro. However, the strategies that they're using are pretty basic. The production value was very good, and I enjoyed watching it. In the end though, it didn't capture my attention. GOM and the rest of the world would be like the WWE. Mechanics aren't always top-notch, but the strategies are extremely varied. I want to be able to discover new things I never thought of before. The games are entertaining because of disparities in mechanics and risky strategies. I want to see more things like Symbol mass dropping Protoss in ZvP. Despite saying all this, I'm still going to tune in to watch Team 8 vs CJ Entus. There is beauty in perfection as well, and watching a game with near perfect mechanics is pretty impressive. With time, I'm sure BW players will show exciting SC2 games as well. BW fans, please don't crucify me over that last statement.

Instead of most of the micro involving GETTING to the engagements and not letting the ai screw it up. This doesn't follow in sc2 where the micro occurs in different parts of the battles. This was the biggest flaw i saw (well, i agreed with the guy). There was a lot of stuff that just happens from inexperience as well. Once that micro transition occurs though, their play will improve significantly. Micro wasn't that great and they don't know any timings (which is to be expected). Kespa messed it up IMO by not having the top SC2 players come in to play with the BW matches. The play shown by the BW players in SC2 wasn't anything to bring in players to the game. they should have shown the best of both mixed together. The semi pro play the BW players showed in SC2 didn't really represent how competitive the game is.
