This community sometimes.. Please don't do anything silly because of this. I don't watch destiny stream but afaik he's just a rager like so many others. I know there are a lot of people out there that'd love to see destiny disappear but please seriously.. calm down. EDIT: Yes it was wrong what you guys (I have no doubt that the majority of this "movement" is the same people) did to Orb too. Stop this silliness seriously. Let the teams handle it.

He shouldn't be a featured streamer when he constantly calls people 'niggers' and 'gooks'. On May 01 2012 22:25 skrjabin wrote: Another attempt at a liquid witch hunt. It can't be a 'witch hunt' when the person did what they are accused of.

Basically it's ok for Destiny to be a dick because "Hey that's just Destiny". Good thing for him he can earn money from streaming, because he isn't going to win it in tourneys.

As far as I know you can just block Destiny if you don't wanna listen to his hate rage and so can everyone else. To act all high and mighty over someone who on more than one occasion has proclaimed that he dosen't censor himself. He's not an Orb, who had to have two faces on, his casting persona and his own time stream persona. Destiny is just Destiny, whereever he goes. Dig it or hate it.

Orb: Caster. His responsibility is to be a face for the community, to interact with the fans, and to speak to the community with his words. A caster is first and foremost going to be judged by the words that come out of their mouth Destiny: Player. You can argue the merits of his talent on your own time. Ultimately, he is paid to be a competitive player. What he says, like IdrA, is ultimately irrelevant. Sure, it reflects poorly on himself to some people- but he doesn't give a shit. Many, many members of the community don't give a shit. The only people who watch Destiny's stream do it knowing about his offensive language, and don't care (some appreciate it, even). If you don't know that, you're about a year behind the times, just like Destiny related complaint threads. tl;dr = players don't owe you shit with their behavior. They owe it to their sponsor, possibly. (contract dependent). They are paid for their play. Casters only market themselves by their behavior and how they communicate. How they speak is a direct (and the only) representation of themselves and who they are. Their behavior and jargon really does matter. This is not a "we love destiny and everyone hates orb" situation.

There is a SotG he is on where he talks about it a lot with iNcontroL and them, don't remember exactly which episode (not exactly easy to go through those sometimes.) But the jist of what he said is that he never asked to be a community figure and never tries to be one. When you are on his stream, he wants to be himself (and says that is what people should expect.) Orb is a caster who is TRYING to be a community figure. A caster should never be allowed to get away with that kind of stuff. A player on the other hand, you can be much more lenient towards. They are there to play the game, nothing else. I still think we were all to harsh on him (mainly because he had already changed away from that behavior.) The only problem I have with this is that there shouldn't be leniency towards players, and should relatively be treated the same. While I don't like the attitude that Destiny has, it is part of him and you BM gg'ing him pretty much set that off. Work with your set of problems when you know he can be turned on by your actions like this. That's the way I see it.

You can't say that OP can't say this about Destiny because his job depends on it. That's like telling someone who approves new medicine that if they don't approve it, the company has to fire people.
