A pretty good player with a slight anger management problem. He can be funny in his BM, but he can also be sad. Sure you could expect some sort of professionalism from him, but I personally focus on the gameplay of a gamer, not their personality. Then based on his gameplay, Destiny shouldn't get any attention nor should he have a popular stream because honestly he's not even that good there are so many better players than him in NA and EU

Heres another one, I really think he should no longer be a featured streamer.

Get over it, jesus this is boring crap, if you honestly care about this kind of stuff you need to look deep down at yourself

I could have sworn there were already quite a few threads about ANYTHING that Destiny does on his stream. I'm honestly curious on what the point is in continuing to make new ones.

Another attempt at a liquid witch hunt. You're not familiar with Destiny's rise to popularity, eh?
Wake me up win Day 9 starts using the N-word on his dailies.

I'm sorry, Destinyhas been doing this forever. I've just stopped watching his stream because it just stopped being fun. And it moved to own3d

What we don't want is a load of robot progamers who show no trace of emotion or personality. People get pissed off and use words like that all the time so get over it man.

Truly surprising that it took sooo long until this topic popped up. It's a nice try to hurt Destiny. He is known for being a dick and politically incorrect all the time. Just no one cared yet. But since Orb got a heavy punishment someone expects Destiny to get one now.
Will be fun to watch this drama because of the outcomes:
1. Destiny apologizes or something like that and there are no consequences at all which will make it a bit unfair because Orb wasn't even that much of an asshole. ~Just less entertaining...
2. Destiny gets dropped by Quantic because they don't want their sponsors to be butthurt (and I think there will be a imbecile who tries going to sponsors just like that again) which will lead to a horrible community where everybody tries to ruin the career and team of the team they are not fans of.
RIP ESPORTS XD

I absolutely don't give a shit about it, but it pisses me off when I think about what would happen if Naniwa, Cloud or Major did it...

I think this belongs in the BM thread... doesn't really warrant its own thread

I can't agree more with you. It seems this community reacts differently to the same kind of offenses depending on the person that they spawn from...
|
an offense/insult is taken, not given though.
anyways, him being that way says more about him than anything else so let him make a fool out of himself, I find it rather funny anyways.
|
Oh look.
This seems familiar. Where have I seen something similar to this?
Oh yeah!! Orb. . .

I think for E-sport to grow, this kind of behaviour should be taken more seriously. If such thing were to occur in other sports, actions will be taken, and community will frown upon it. Right now, people that watch SC2 or esport are just the people that play the game. But in the future, you might want to introduce your kids or other people to play or watch the games. Having a "pro" swearing and being racist is ridiculous. And the Quantic team that just allow their players to continue this act is totally unacceptable.
|
Everybody listen! I have an important opinion about this.

1. This is Destiny's personality. 2. Surely Quantic knew about this, as it's nothing new or well-hidden. 3. You all-inned him, which could very well piss him off (as any person may BM you for it).
We don't need an Orb 2.0 here.

Racial slurs?
Woah, I never expected this. My thoughts exactly. There is a SotG he is on where he talks about it a lot with iNcontroL and them, don't remember exactly which episode (not exactly easy to go through those sometimes.) But the jist of what he said is that he never asked to be a community figure and never tries to be one. When you are on his stream, he wants to be himself (and says that is what people should expect.)
To everyone his own. Defeature him from Teamliquid and ban him here, because behaviour like this shouldn't and isn't acceptable here. Can't remember who got defeatured for the n-word, but I guess everyone should be treated the same way.
When Orb got banned and actually lost his job, there were people actually argueing if he actually is racist... which is just wrong in the first place, but now people in here white knight for Destiny because 'thats just how he is' and the OP should 'stop to cry' ?
Seriously, double-standards. I hold no grudge against Destiny and I couldn't care less about racial slurs, because I don't think its the racial slur that he intends to do, but rather to insult the other person. He could easily say son of a bitch or sorts of that and it would also fit the purpose. I just don't think we should start to handle same situations differently, just because someone is more or less known for bm.
