Most other times you knew HSC would be won by Serral, maybe Reynor or more recently by Clem, while this time a lot can happen. Like Zoun is probably one of the favorites, but Ryung might claw his way into a victory with some bracket luck? ShoWTimE and HeroMarine are also solid candidates for the win, alongside Lambo and Elazer.

I assume it's probably because it's so close to EWC players rather prioritize that but I mean, these are not nice groups imo. A lot less hyped for this tournament than I was even yesterday. This lineup is great. No Serral (or other clear favourites) is going to make this interesting and fun. Too many Protoss though perhaps

![]() let's make some fun predictions that won't be totally off ![]() Group A: Lambo, Mana. + Show Spoiler + Because Mana is rocking rn & ryung is struggling with toss. [Ryung is the player i would love to see advance the most. Next to optimistc. Bc how cool would that be? ![]() Group B: Showtime, Jumy. + Show Spoiler + Because Spirit gonna play toss instead of terran vs jumy overestimating his off-race and thus lose ![]() Group C: Zoun, uthermal. + Show Spoiler + uthermal gonna win against gerald by pretending being idle in game and on his pc thus making gerald pull his probes to kill uthermal's main whilst uthermal sneakly rushes bcs and blueflame hellbats. twice. Group D: sos, harstem. + Show Spoiler + heromarine will lose to every toss he'll play because karma. heromarine is very good at two things: sc2 and whining about toss. just checked his karma count. he gonna lose. because 6 toss in the knock out round is no fun at all all the pros decide to play random. for the fun of it. for the viewers. except for uthermal who doesn't like the idea who then plays terran to win the whole thing. Edit: for some reason i also wanna give my predictions for ewc. serral gonna win not dropping a map.

Let’s be serious here. This whole “hiding build etc” talks has been a myth for almost a decade. Every S tier tournaments, 95% of the games are pure standard games. The game has been figured out a long time ago. Everyone is just practicing to be cleaner in their macro / micro. Just ask yourself when was the last time anyone did a great build in these tournaments. The only one that I can think of was TY vs solar when TY basically lifted 4-5 barracks into solar base and build marines.

Didn't Maru beat his hardest opponent (in terms of series score) herO in the playoffs of Dreamhack Dallas that he won, using a very well prepared cheesy build? Plus, even though players use standard macro builds the majority of the times, there are still subtle variations in it that they might do, which they might want to hide.
