yah i probably shouldnt have left for my dads house right after posting this
im not homophobic. far from it.
im not scared he's going to fucking rape me. although him being attracted to me worries me slightly. i'd be lying if i said it didn't, but it's not big. it's just going to be a serious change of pace living with a gay guy. and lmao @ Agu. "leave a plastic doll." hah.
yeah, on a lot of other points, im psyched to have a gay roommate. he probably will bring a lot of girls along with him. and yes, i found out he's gay from facebook. he's also in a relationship, but im ALMOST positive his boyfriend isn't going to Ithaca. if he is, i'll have one extra thing to be a little concerned about. i can take anything except walking in on two guys buttfucking each other. that's pretty much where i draw the line.
the bastard better give me some style advice. what the fuck else would he be good for? lol.

oh by the way, WhatIsProtoss,
nice job making assumptions, and more assumption based on your previsously made wrong assumptions.
asshole.
i also wanted to hear other funny roommate stories damnit. and LOL at the anal bleeding one. thats fucking disturbing:|

is having a roomate mandatory or what? dunno why i always see in USA the roomies thing...
|
its damn hard NOT to have a roommate. the only people at my school that live by themselves are the RA's. that's part of the deal they make when they take the job.
|
u can get away not having roomates in later years i think. freshman theres no way out ><
unless u get an apartment

what if my house is 2 blocks away?

For my housing application, I signed up for doubles, tripples, and even quads because I wanted the traditional dorming experience as a freshman. Ironically, I got a single in the most dersirable house.
I'm not complaining.

Strato, in MOST colleges freshman have to stay on campus. for the most part it is mandatory. a special few can apply as a commuter student.
there are also colleges that are better known to be Commuter Colleges. not too many people stay there, most of them drive.
if you live quite close to the college, its almost definite that they will allow you to be a commuter. The college i'm attending is 5 hours from my house, if i applied as a commuter student they would laugh at me. they want people to live on campus because then they get to charge them an extra 10-15k dollars for board. >.>

mmmm nope, its nothing like that... i have my schedule and i just have to go to my classes (and if i were american i would be a freshman, although we dont use those freshman, junior, senior gay terms ;P), do homework, community service and use a fucking internet platform where the teachers let the homework and assignments for the whole semester, they dont have to remind you everytime theres hm or a project, you have to check it yourself... it sux because sometimes you miss something (hm, a reading, exercises, etc) and all the teachers say is "it was on the platform", and actually, they're right, but, oh man, its annoying ;P

well, here in mexico, people live with their parents until they get married and even if college is 2 hours away (in Mexico city for example) you have to wake 2 hours earlier, you just dont go live with another roomate

i've been waiting to find out my room/roommate information all summer, only to find out that my letter got lost in the mail. i call up the school yesterday, and find out the information. i facebook the kid, and the kid im going to spend the rest of the year with, is gay.
this is DEFINITELY going to be the most memorable year of my life.
i go to cornell, maybe i ll see you at a party
and just because the kid is gay doesn't mean he ll come on to you; like a comedian said if you weren't attracting chicks whats suppose to make you a man magnet?
and what others have said about bad roommates, the worst are those creepy kids who get "sexiled" but don't leave the room :\ that my friend is the creepiest thing when you see another pair of eyes staring at you and not the girl :X
|
not unless you come to Ithaca :p
it's dangerous for IC guys to show up at cornell :p
friend of mine is going there though, so i'll be taking my chances.
|
haha, not really, my friend's brother goes to ithaca and plays lacross for them, and he visits regularly
and I have had plenty of IC guys burrow my ID to get into parties, so yeah
